Look at tables, for example site 6. Most important words:
Stanowisko - position
Woj. Mazowieckie - Mazowieckie Voivodhip, for the full list of polish voivodships look here:

map poland

Najczęściej oferowane - The most common salary

And name of positions you can translate with dictionary in hand. Nearly half of positions is named in English anyway.
Value in table is gross salary in PLN.

Merged: Net Salary of 8000 PLN for a System Engineer in Bydgoszcz

Hi all,

Please advise if 8500 PLN a month netto is enough to survive with a Family of 3? Also what are the schooling expenses in International schools?

Regards,
IT Pro

In Bydgoszcz that's quite a good wage. You should find a decent flat to rent for 2000 - 2500 (or less or more, depending on what sort of place you expect). That is a decent professional salary in provincial Poland and you should also be able to save money.

That's still quite good. The average gross salary is around half that, and Bydgoszcz is not an expensive place to live.

What's the industry standard in Poland? For a family of 3 and you don't know your way around Poland...? I dunno, I guess there are other factors to consider like potential earnings in the future, experience, working conditions and things like that but from a PURELY financial perspective, if you were one of my friends from back home, I would recommend against it. Keep in mind I know nothing about you so it's like, just my opinion, man.

What do you reckon the monthly wage would be for a senior IT project manager in Wrocław per month, gross (for a large financial co) ?

What's the industry standard in Poland?

It depends the industry. From what you have told us so far, that wage is hugely above what most people would be earning. You would be able to live a very comfortable life with those payment terms.

Are you still looking at moving to Bydgoszcz? the International school here is not good at all!! and cost about 1,000 zlotys per month. We pulled our 2 children from it this year are going to a 1/2 English 1/2 Polish school here in town and love it!! Oh and it is half the price. My husband is also at System Engineer here for a major company so ask away what ever questions you have or you can check out my blog to see what life is like here! neveradulldayinpoland.com

Are you serious? That's like nothing compared to what engineers in the US earn. Is everything cheaper in Poland than in America? (I have my doubts)

salary on the IT market in bydgoszcz poland

>Nalacs

It's something around 8000 zloty before tax, but after tax(30%) it's around 6000 zloty. But it can be higher depending on the type of the job and the level of your qualification.

Can anybody tell me why there is an invasion of Indian IT people into Bydgoszcz, and this for salaries well above Polish ones?
I thought typical BPO cities were £ódż and Katowice?

Nalacs, from what I hear IT jobs pay significantly better in the Warsaw area.

Can anybody tell me why there is an invasion of Indian IT people into Bydgoszcz

Do you have to act like a bigot about this?

Merged: Salary for a Microsoft system engineer - Job offer ATOS Bydgoszcz

Hi all
as lot of people around here, I also got an job offer from ATOS for VMware administrator.
As I'm 12 years Microsoft system engineer, what salary would be appropriate for this level and job in Bydgoszcz?
At the moment, I'm "enjoying" :) 1500€ net salary at my current company in Croatia with living expenses slightly greater then those in Bydgoszcz.

Tnx all!

It's rather impossible to get more than 2000eur net in Bydgoszcz. But who knows, perhaps they need this VMware admin so much. Check previous posts here, some people mentioned what they got offered.

Ah, sorry the info I had, 6000 after tax, is for the foreigner workers with special contracts, but I imagine for local employees it's like what you wrote, 4000-5000.

why there is an invasion of Indian IT people into Bydgoszcz, and this for salaries well above Polish ones?

It's because all the Indian IT people working here have much higher qualification which those IT companies need, and in order to hire them within Poland the companies have to pay them about 150% average salary of Poland as special/skilled workers.

The internet (esp. google) is a great source of information. If you ask about 'ATOS and opinions' of people working there, I am sure that you will get an idea of how much they pay. But be prepared, it is not as much as you may think.

What is a good month salary in Poland?

I'm brazillan, married and graduated in computer science. I have a good job here but lately I received an invite to move to Poland (I will have a last interview next days before the official offer from the company) and found it quite interesting. I researched a lot about the company, Poland and Polish people, culture. The only thing I'm still in doubt is: What is a good salary for a couple in Poland?

I'm asking this in order to have arguments to negotiate or even deny the likely offer I'm about to have.

@lucrib

You're going to have to do your own math, based on the following.

Gross Salary = ( Cost_of_living + (relocation_costs/12) + recreation_costs + savings_allowance) * 1.5

Basic cost of living for a foreign, mid-career couple is about 5000 PLN, housing, utilities, public transportation, food, household supplies, clothing, and sundry expenses. Modest, non-smoking, non-drinking, no car.

Relocation costs include total cost of travel to and from Poland, together with all visa and residency permit fees. Divide by 12 to get a monthly amount.

Recreation fees vary wildly, depending how much you travel and how expensive your hobbies are.

Savings allowance is the big problem, and the deal killer for foreigners interested in working in Poland. A mid-career IT professional should be putting aside at least $1000 a month. and can easily do this in a richer country. But this is a problem in Poland, where the low wages and the relatively high cost of living conspire to make serious saving rather difficult.

The 1.5 is the gross/net ratio (taxes).
