Hey there all,

I got offer from multiculturel business consulting company which is based in Warsaw. I already accepted the offer but I wanna be sure if offered salary is enough for average life in Warsaw. I already understood that it does not make sense for me to rent a flat on my own so i'll rent a room. I'm 23 years old, recently graduated from university and have no kid nor wife :) Is 5000 zloty GROSS salary enough for average life? Plus i wanna improve my russian, is there any language school in Warsaw which is teaching russian in english?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

You will have a basic average life on this salary.

this is an entry level salary- but you are only 23- i would find out if there is opportunity for increase in income if you work there longer.

basic life
rent
food
metro/bus pass
going out a couple of times a week

depends how much you spend- a good chunk will be your rent so it is up to you if you want to find a cheaper place

As i calculated my net base salary will be around 3400 zloty plus i have 160zloty meal vouchers every month and one base salary as a reallocation bonus which makes my monthly income around 3900zloty so how much should i pay for rent what you think?

depends how much you want to spend. do you want a bachelor apt. or a one bedroom? do you want a modern building or an old communist block building?

In Warsaw- I would suggest Ursynow/Kabaty. It is along the metro line, it is close to shopping and rec. centres and other things you might want without needing a car.

for example: oferty.net/mieszkanie-na-wynajem-ken-warszawa-ursynow,1500319680

somewhere along ul. Ken. but that is just my opinion- others may feel differently.

Obi, this is actually a very good offer for an inexperienced graduate, the company I work for (established FMCG, one of FTSE top 20) offers grads (including international ones from Western Europe) quite a bit less. Look at career prospects and make most of it. This is enough for a young single person to live decent life.
