Britishes are finishing their days in Australia jail then (you know prisoners of Britain were residents of AU). Welcome to new guests from Romania, Bulgaria, etc.

Where are those stats? Produce them or hold your serpent's tool behind your denture.

No, you are claiming that the statistics are not kept: you prove that they are not kept. Although you also claimed that refusal rates for US visas are based on previous refusal rates for that nation and now you've gone very quiet about that particular lie.

I really would like you to meet you in person.

My name is Harry and I am very easy to find, I often post about where I will be and have many times posted about the places I go to very often.

It's not that they're not kept, they're just not public. It would be really nice to see the overstay statistics.

And I'm thinking about tourists, as for illegals kick them out by all means...but all not only Poles!

Thats what Ive been saying for years, Im not singleing out the Polish, I like most of them and theyre not really the problem in the overall picture.

If I were to say kick out all the Mexicans and its ok for Polish to stay that would be racist and everybody here would jump all over me.

I dont care what country a person comes from as long as the do it Legally. Ive said this a countless number of times, on this probably the 20th Visa thread here on PF.

And it is too bad that they have restrictions because of a few bad Apples that had to ruin it for the honest people, that would just like to take a vacation or see relatives.

Not sneek off and find a cash job and hide in the shadows, these are the people I like to see get deported.

couldn't you find a better place to spend your holiday? NY is nothing, but, high buildings

I agree, NYC wouldnt be list on my list of places to go in the US. Its horrible over there!

Go to Florida, then you always can hop on down to the Virgin IS. or Jamacia

British people. On the other hand they almost always return to their country though.

I think its because if they stay past the 3 months and dont return, then they are banned and cant come back for 10 years, maybe AUS is a little more lenient?

You're talking about popular sentiment among the population. But almost no politician with national aspirations will publicaly deviate from the common dem-rep line that unlimited immigration is a priority and that enforcement is more about plausible deniability rather than any concern for maintaining border integrity.

Theres going to be alot of pressure in the next election for sure.
I have a feeling after Obama gets his healthcare passed hes going to give them all amesty.
Hes going to need the votes and thats what its really all about for a Chicago Politician.

Amnesty will come right before the next Presidential election

**** them!

I Agree!
More over... Why go to the US in the first place, when there are plenty of cities around the world that will receive tourists with opened arms. Too many places you can visit that are (by far) a lot better then those decaying cities in the US.

Not only that... But New York City? You have to be kidding me! That's one of the most dangerous cities in the world. If you don't get killed or robbed, you will end up asking yourself... What's here to visit? Perhaps the Statue of Liberty. Ironically, the symbol of hope for immigrants.

When you can finally obtain a visa to go to New York, make sure you snap a picture of the text written underneath the statue of liberty:

"...Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Then walk away from that little island and you will be surrounded with anti-immigrant and racist propaganda everywhere.

Not a huge fan of the Big Apple but there's a little more to it than the Statue of Liberty. And you can get robbed or killed anywhere. Had rocks thown at me in Paris once. (Arab neighborhood) :- )

I've been to NYC, it isn't as dangerous as you think. As a matter of fact, it's one of the friendlier places I've been to.

if they are kept - produce them !Otherwise spare us from your silly stunts.

I like most of them and theyre not really the problem in the overall picture.

so, why keep them outside visa-free system?
That what I'm saying, Poles are not really the problem in overall picture, why are they and only they threated as the worst threat.

Why go to the US in the first place,

To see historic places of Civil War era like Wilderness, Gettysburg, Richmond etc and maybe Nathan Bedford Forrest's battlefields.

No.. not really. It's beaurocratic snafu.. not necessarily hating Poles.

Wilderness, Gettysburg, Richmond etc and maybe Nathan Bedford Forrest's battlefields.

The people who watch over those battlefields like it when Europeans come to these things. They're usually complimented by it. Watch out.. many Confederate ghosts at night on Little Round Top ;- )

That what I'm saying, Poles are not really the problem in overall picture, why are they and only they threated as the worst threat.

Get rid of the visa and half of Poland will come here. It will be the same situation that's happening in England right now. There are many many Brits who hate Poles and have bad opinions of them. They go to England, can't find jobs, get drunk, commit suicide, etc. Life in America is not easy, you need to work and some Poles like to drink more than work. America has nothing against the Poles, but the Poles do not obey the law, overstay their visas, they fish and hunt illegally and they are bad drivers.

I am a court interpreter and I translate to the Polish people why they got arrested for drunk driving or other law they broke because they don't follow the law and think like they do in Poland. They don't even learn english, because in Chicago you can get away with speaking only Polish. Some are here 20 years or more and barely understand english. Lol. Poles are so desperate to get to America because they are under the impression that money grows on trees, then they get here, find out they have to work and cheat the goverment by fraudulent marriages or find other ways to stay. There is nothing wrong with Poland, if only the Polish people would help improve their own country instead of leaving to other countries to boast that they can do better than other fellow Poles.

Not all Poles are the same, many are nice but they have it in them how to do things illegally under the table, bribe and cheat. Polish car dealers in Chicago will paint up the car and do whatever to make it look good and lie about it. It is illegal to do that. But they still do it because that's how it's done in Poland

When the Limeys joined the EU

We have been members since 1973 - we were amongst the second group to join, it was actually the EEC and not the EU at this point. So not really sure that your point was there.

As for Poles having to have visas, if people kept to the rules then it wouldnt be a problem, evidently Poles wont go home from their 2 week break so this spoils for those that would like to go shopping for a weekend to New York..Have said that how about the Yanks in Poland that break the rules with regards to their visas? TUT TUT seems like its a case of the pot calling the kettle black!

Not really it all comes down to the figures doesnt it? A few yanks in Poland as apposed to thousands of Poles in the US. Really! no pots no kettles on this one thank you.

Don't think so!
Those 2-3mln prone to leave Poland left already for EU country's.
Even if some of them would like to take they chances becoming illegal immigrant in the US I don't think it would have been substantial number.

Why would they want to become illegal aliens in US? That would be an option for those with family in the country but that is entirely different matter.

Polish citizens don't need visa to Canada anymore, have population of that country doubled lately ?

It will be the same situation that's happening in England right now.

there is nothing similar about situation !

but the Poles do not obey the law, overstay their visas,

My question is - Are only Poles do not obey the law and overstay their visas?
What about Czech, Lithuanians and other East Europeans country's which don't need visa to enter USA?
I fail to see connection between not obeying the law, and visas,
as nobody is willing or able to produce statistic !!!!

Some are here 20 years or more

ha!"20 years later" Alexander Dumas :D

Poles are so desperate to get to America because they are under the impression that money grows on trees

Well, maybe USA propaganda has something to do with it?LOL

I am a court interpreter and I translate to the Polish people

seems you have a job thank to them!:P

they fish and hunt illegally and they are bad drivers.

My,my what about swans do they hunt swans ?

Not all Poles are the same, many are nice but

Don't say? really ?no kidding ?
Well, on this side of the pond same say that not all Americans are stupid:D

they have it in them how to do things illegally under the table, bribe and cheat.

I must have been cuckolded then .

Get rid of the visa and half of Poland will come here.

Do you really think that Polish people are that stupid?

Why emigrate to a failing country with a failing currency (goodbye world reserve status! time to start paying the bills!)

Most Polish people who are inclined toward economic emigration have already left (for the UK, Germany or Scandinavia or any other EU country where they can find a toehold).

Those who might want to go to the US are those with family connections or those with a bug in their bonnet about the US which is not most Polish people anymore. The US has lots _huge_ amounts of credibility and desirability in the last 9 years.

The total net Polish illegal immigration to the US if visas were lifted would probably not excede that of of illegal migrants from Mexico in a month. (two months tops).

And you haven't addressed my point : what real world evidence can you offer that any politican who matters cares anything whatsoever about illegal immigration, the US political establishment is firmly in _favor_ of illegal immigration and you have to be deaf, dumb, blind or in a coma to not realize that.

I know that Polish people outside of Poland _love_ to criticise other Polish people and portray their country of origin as worse off than Bangladesh, but please, take off your blinders and look at this little thing that some of us like to call reality.

I think you'll find this is done by car dealers all over the world; certainly here in the UK. It isn't just a Polish thing.

From a personal viewpoint, I think that Poles have got themselves a bad reputation for overstaying their visas which spoils things for the genuine applicants. One of my girlfriend's brothers has been living in the US illegally with his family for years and her other brother outstayed his visa by a couple of years, which means if we want to visit the US to see my sister who lives there (or her brother) my girlfriend would possibly be denied a visa on account of her brothers' behaviour if US immigration keeps such records, which I suspect they do.

You have to keep in mind, the Poles are not the ones causing the problems. Are counties in California going bankrupt because of the Poles? Schools in my state were in the red...was it because of the Poles? The budget busters aren't Poles or any European. It's these millions of Latinos who are coming up from Mexico and pouring over the border like it's not there. Let's not distract from the ones who require the most funding.
