Quick bio to set the stage:

Born in Poland.
Fluent in Polish.
EU Citizen.
Living in Toronto.
Graduate with an Urban Planning Degree from Ryerson University.
Interested in the development industry.
I've begun working for my Accredited Appraiser Designation (AACI) at UBC.
Would love to work for a development firm.

What are my chances of finding work, and making a decent salary (besides teaching English)?

I am rather aware of the situation in Poland at the moment, and have a positive economic outlook for the country.

However, unemployment is still rather high (last I checked 11%, I could be wrong), so I'm wondering if there is a need for people with my background and abilities.

Any help would be appreciated.

Currently, 9.5%.

If you are lucky, you will find a decent position within a week.

If not, it may take 6 months or more.

Just a matter of luck.

Nobody is able to tell you your fortune.

You must check it out for yourself.

In 1994, I approached certain girl and she turned me down because she wasn`t free.

In 1995, I approached her again and she accepted me, because she was free. Now she is my wife.

Do you mean what I know?

That is his signature saying.

If you have a bunch of experience then it is likely you may be able to find a job pretty easily with this knowledge, if you don't have any experience then it will be hard to find a job in Poland and to make good money.

Having just said that, look at foreign concerns that are doing work in Poland. Eg. PB

This is true. If you have substantial experience within Europe you should be able to find something. If you don't have much experience, you'd be competing with recent graduates from Polish Universities whose training is a known quantity to those hiring and who may well already have done internships in the organisations they want to work for.
