How long a Pole can stay in the United States? I need clarity on immigration laws in the US and Poland

If anyone here knows anything about immigration laws or how long someone from Poland can stay in the U.S. after coming from Poland that would be an incredible help. If you need the full background of the particulars regarding the current situation. I am able to do that. Please anyone help me understand.

Well, I guess it depends on the visa the person gets. Could be 3 months to 10 years. I don't have much knowledge in this area, but see if you can find something on here. poland.usembassy.gov

I stayed 1,5 year and that was the maximum I could endure. I missed Poland, family, friends, hometown, real Polish food so much. Thanks God, no need to do it again.:):)

It takes at least a year and a half to acclimate to the fast pace of America.
You were just getting broken in.
And I am surprised you couldn't find any Polish kitchens for authentic Polish food as they are everywhere.
Usually Polish economic migrants that come to the U.S. stay and work for at least ten years to qualify for a monthly Social Security check for the rest of their lives once they reach 65 years old.

That check is sent directly and deposited in their name to a Polish bank of their choice.
However you need to obtain a social security number to have taxes taken out of your paycheck weekly to qualify to do that which I highly doubt you did. :-)

It shows you never belonged here. I gladly started shedding my Polish heritage before I left and was 100% done in 1974 when I got my US passport and switched to English everywhere. Polish restaurants included. Yes, I am repeating myself.

Contrary to what JR just said, I was at full speed on Wednesday when I got my first job. I came here on Sunday. No, it was not washing dishes in the basement of a Moscow orphanage. And it paid $10.6k a year. Not bad back in 1967. My first brand new car: Chevrolet Caprice in September 1967, or three months after arrival.

So, you left communist Poland and relocated to paradise. While we had to suffer in the tyranny, being happy with a single herring for 5 people at Christmas Eve. . It was unfair. :):)

But today it is a paytime and the roles have reversed. Poland is independent and developing fast, while the USA has a migration problem and other as well. :):)
