All I think about USA is that they lost most of their positive reputation in Iraq ...

What I like in USA:

their tribute into worlds culture :)

USA economy is impresive

erw3e

All in all you are positive hero in worlds history

We have a chance... it just depends on if Bush sign into the NAU which I pray God he doesn't. If he does, you will see Americans fleeing North America. If he doesn't before he leaves office, then come; all should be fairly well.

The Amero only spells trouble.

Yes, we contribute racists who say things like "The only thing a Negro can do for me is shine my shoes" - Elvis Presley

USA economy is impresive

The Dollar is nothing and the middle-class can't keep the little they have.

All in all you are positive hero in worlds history

All of our lairs, thieves and murderers.

Yes, it's amazing the ways in which people glorify the US.

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not... but yes, I do sometimes speak as a Pole. I lived near Krosno for 2 year - I can't help it! =)

There are positives and negatives in every country. It's what you see.
A person can be locked up in jail and depending on his attitude, he can either look down at the floor and rot, or look up at the stars and see a bright positive future and hope.

It means that we (Poles) have tendention to see our negatives and forget about positives ... ;)

USA beaten them, and it is enough to respect you :

LOL!!!
Polish people who come to the US are surprised by their honesty. When they buy a car, they most often get an honest answer about it's problems, etc. But in Poland they willl cover up the deformalities and lie in order to get more money for it.

In the US cheating in school is punishable and treated as a big offense.
In Poland many students cheat, even though it's also not allowed.

Because every country has similar problems and histories. Right now, America is the country being the dirtiest, in my opinion.

Besides, it was mostly a reaction to those particular pictures. For instance, if a picture of President Clinton had been used, I probably wouldn't have said anything about it. Although he wasn't perfect, he did a LOT of great things for the US in 8 years. It was a shame to see him go.

Besides, political Poland is WAY TOO homophobic for me to tolerate right now.

Yes, it is a discussion about America, but I was asked why I am still here and that was another reason for me to still be here. Sorry if I offended you.

As a half Pole myself i support the US of A and the republicans! Although i don't actually live in the US, but i generally think Poland likes the US more than any other (european) countries.

That's great Koolaid but I don't want to live in Mexico. Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself....

Bush is trying to create/join the NAU (North American Union). This union would be very similar to the EU; creating countries without borders and a single currency (the Amero). Only two other countries lie in continential North America; Mexico and Canada. The three countries would have free trade of goods and citizens.

If Bush signs us up for this (if he hasn't already) it will 1. VOID OUR CONSTITUTION 2. allow Mexicans to enter the US without visas, essentially destroying the workforce economy and 3. render our states and our country unnecessary.

So if you like the US more that most European countries, then you had best pray that this lunatic doesn't sign us in - if he does, the US, which you like oh-so-very much, will no longer exist.

*BTW - If you haven't figured it out, I'm not about political parties, I'm about making America the best country it can be. I don't vote according to clubs, I vote according to policies.

He's not behind it, the banks are. He's just their puppet - how else do you think he got into office when he didn't win the election?

I don't vote according to clubs, I vote according to policies.

So did you vote for Kerry in the last election? Did you vote for Gore in the election before that? Something tells me you sway a little more to the left than you are admitting;)

My GF likes it in the US, except for the fact that it's difficult to get a work visa. The tourist visa was no problem, but who wants to work illlegally?

She was impressed with the food. She always assumed that Americans ate just fast food and junk. she was pleasantly surprised that Americans don't eat as much crap as she was told.

She was also wondering where all of the obese people were. She heard that there's an enormous obesity problem, but only saw a few here and there and didn't see it as big of a problem that everyone makes it appear to be. Maybe it's just where we were visiting. NY-NJ-NC.

I misread your text koolaid, sorry.

If you're not an American and you don't live here, then what in the world can you possibly know (nie znac ale wiedziec) about OUR politics?! Let me guess, you read or watch the BBC?

At least I live in Poland when the new president (who banned Gay Pride when he was a governor) took office in Poland I lived through him and the guy before him enough that I can say a bit about Polish politics (but not too much).

lol.. yeah he is.

native: #2.. mexicans and other latinos come here regardless regardless of NAU.. we build fences and they find a way anyway.. why do you think that is?

btw. we already have the NAFTA.. and who signed us up for that?

lol.. that's not true.. american eating habits are terrible. there are plenty of fatties around.. i have no idea how you missed them all. there are by far more fat people then thin ones from what i can see.

Everyone knows about our politics because it's in everyones face. No matter where you live.

You're generalizing. I eat healthy as well as my family. Everywhere I took here she was given a healthy home cooked meal.

i have no idea how you missed them all. there are by far more fat people then thin ones from what i can see.

maybe you're just looking at the "fatties". Open your eyes. Anyway, she's from Poland and this is what she said. I'm not here to argue with you. It was an opinion form a person living in Poland....that's the topic.
