ahh, you haven't had the pleasure! Jersey Shore is a reality based tv show set somewhere along the Jersey coast. It is a group of Italian American 20 somethings and their adventures. It is disgusting.

I watched about 5 minutes of it to see what all the hype is about. I will never get these 5 minutes back- what a disgusting display of human behaviour.

I have no problem with immigrants coming to Canada- that is not what I am talking about by any means.

WTF- neither was I. I think you've taken a stance I made in another thread and projected some of that here. I wasn't touching on that at all but if I think about it, I suppose our experience alienates them (or that's what they're told to say) so whatever culture was blooming has been pooh-poohed and replaced with the sense of entitlement one gets from wanna be italians and the kardashians and all the other rubbish.

Canadians didn't have this- it is changing and not for the better.

That's what I meant too.

I think that Canada has had so much influx of the American way of life- t.v., media, foods, etc- that the line has become foggy as to what is Canadian culture and what is American.

I do not know what you are talking about...
In Toronto (Southern Ontario) and Montreal (Quebec) CBC is very much watched...
There is CTV also and the newer SUNtv (they are copying Foxnews and have the least amount of viewers).
