US Green Card lottery for Poles?

Do you know how many more visas are Poles allowed this year in the Green Card lottery (after Poland sent so many troops to Iraq)? Does anybody have the details?

How many? 0 (zero, nada). BUAHUAHUHAHUAHUAHUAHAUAHAAAAA!!!!!!!!! "Poland is the greatest friend of the United States" :)

I think it doesn't have a lot to do with foreign politics - according to the rules Poland received more cards in the previous years than it was supposed to receive so this year (actually next year) Poland won't participate in the lottery.

O yeah? What about all these promises that Poland's participation in Iraq will get them BENEFITS? What kind of BENEFITS did the politicians talk about? A dinner in the White House or a new Rolex watch? Or what?

Not in no near future. The illegal Poles have to return to their country first, too many illegals overcrowding the Chicago streets, that's why there won't be a lottery visa for a looong time for Poles.

Unfortunately no. I agree with you by the way and think green card lottery, visas, etc should be tailored to our true allies but the politicians are in a grid-lock over so many things they can't even begin to debate this issue...

Note, this is just a green card (DV) lottery; only 50 thousand people a year - 'peanuts' compared to the actual amount of immigrants who come in every year to the US. (...and I'm not even talking about the illegal immigrants from south of the border)

I really believe that Poland will be participating every year. And some of you stop hating, you say that because you have a GC.
