Financial requirements for US greencard?

hi, does anyone know anything about the financial requirements for a us citizen wanting to marry a polish national?

It says the annual income of the us citizen needs to be at least 125% of the poverty level for the household size. so if im alone that would be $10 k but if i live with my fiancee then it would be over 18k a year. My girlfriend and I were thinking of getting these fantastically wealthy friends of ours to sponsor us but then we realize that they technically earn zero yearly income - they're just filthy rich. I thought of getting my friend to sponsor us who earns 100k a year but most of this income is off the books in the form of tips, gratuities, etc which is the same with me.

Would these get in the way of having my girlfriend's green card application accepted?

all answers are much appreciated thanks!

do you know who/what an attorney is? look one up and ask them for a sure answer. here you'll just get guesses and other nonsense that will not really do you any good anyway. besides $10k is not 125% of the poverty level.. become friends with bing or google, eh?

Before asking an attorney i rather ask online since these are simple questions and and many poles deal with this. 18k+is 125%of the federal income poverty level for a family of two as per google. no need for the smart alecky answers.

beside in every application everything is clearly explained....

my fiancee and i

are you an american citizen? if yes, you should be her primary sponsor, right?

no apparently you can find another "sponsor" to sign an affidavit of support, if the fiance can't prove sufficient income.

if you are not an american citizen and if she's not an american citizen so nobody will get a green card.... that's for sure...

if you are an american citizen, but you don't make enough money to sponsor her, so she has to find an american citizen sponsor... and this sponsor has to prove on paper how much he/she makes... probably W4 form or a letter form an employer...

ask a lawyer!
