thanks to US help they have democracy and an awesome president

You mean the guy who's just been forced out of office by popular demand.

our help,Iraq,Afganistan,Saudi Arabia,Pakistan

Now why do you do you think a heavily oil dependent country is "helping" countries in the most oil-rich region in the world? Altruism?

Just look how we help Egypcians, without our help they could come up with some stupid ideas about who should run Egypt, but thanks to US help they have democracy and an awesome president.

Come on, mate. You accuse IS of living under a rock, but it is obviously you who is been living on the dark side of the moon. Since when was Mubarak a democrat?! He's never been a democrat, not for any of his 30 years in power. An "awesome president"?! Hmm hmm ... that's why the protesters on Tahrir Square wanted to get rid of him.

They got rid of him not because he was a tyrant, but because the price of food was too high... These people want Bathist style socialism...

Commodities are already on their way up all over the rest of the world...Let the second round begin!

And they depend on Saudi who hate Ba'athism and Libya who like it for money. An uneasy place for them to be. And now they have a military government who are close to the latter.

This is only because Egypt is still underdeveloped country and Egyptians don't know what's good for them.

Since when was Mubarak a democrat?! He's never been a democrat, not for any of his 30 years in power.

What do you mean he is not a democrat?America never supports tyrants but only democrats.Mubarak IS a democrat and also our buddy.

Now why do you do you think a heavily oil dependent country is "helping" countries in the most oil-rich region in the world? Altruism?

You kidding? What oil has to do with the help?We help because we are good people and always help less fortunate.
Oh I know, you guys must be liberal America haters.Well, guess what, screw you guys, you are not even American citizens.

These people want Bathist style socialism...

That's what I am talking about, they are obviously still to primitive to know that Bathist style socialism is not good for them therfore they need our help

Don't assume I'm Polish. But at least we know now what you think of the Poles.

Also don't expect people to believe that the Americans invaded Iraq in order to help them because they are "good people". Not even Sarah Palin pretends to believe that.

Remember - and this is very relevant to the thread - that in the boom and bust economy that is the US, oil supply is everything. Without a guaranteed supply at a price they can afford, some of those communities that have little or no public transport had better invest in bicycles to commute all those miles every day.

How can one presume to know that food prices are the real reason for Mubarak's overthrow? All the masses in the streets claimed they were there because Mubarak was a tyrant that ran a brutal police state for 30 years, but never mind that our "moderator" knows better.....What a totally ridiculous and condescending attempt to belittle today's momentous events.

oil supply is everything

But it will end soon. And what America will do then? Finish ward in the Middle East, and move to Africa to "help". It will start from "helping" Egyptians.

And you would be wrong.

we drive big a$$ SUV's

So do some of us and not all of you. Given that there are counties in the US where the median household income is less than $20,000, we can say that definitely not everyone there drives an SUV. But used car lots are full of them, being sold because their owners either can't afford the gasoline or the credit. Or both.

What do you drive nowadays, by the way?

No worry Jane.Grubas is riding in a Tahoe and boy I love that truck.

It would be cruelty to horses. I'd post a picture of a Hoovercar, but really it was the poor who were hit in the last depression, and the poor who are starting to be hit now. If sh1t was valuable the poor would have no arseholes.

SUV and other Chelsea tractor drivers, well - their gasoline use and financial habits have hobbled several economies.

I post infrequently.So,what is it?

The Democratic Republic of Korea, you fool.

Jelous about a truck? Sounds like Polish mentality here. We all have one because we need it, not because we want it.

GORALU CZY CI NIE ZAL.

LOL, I’ve heard that song so many times at my family's "tearful" reunions,,, of course everyone was smashed and delirious too... so, nm

I think the biggest problem today is that people are not as resourceful and creative as our grandparents were before the age of supermarkets and chain stores... and television.

Yeah television, supermarkets, modern medicine and technology are the root of all evil. Let's revert to hunter-gatherer society and that will teach us how to be resourceful and creative again.

no brainer.. malnutrition is probably the country's biggest problem.

wha...? I thought the supermarkets and stuff are the biggest problem... well, at least now, in your world, the hungry/poor people have an opportunity to exercise resourcefulness and creativity.

It's true. Which is exactly why I said I am taking next year off.

How did you arrive at this conclusion? I thought in your opinion being well-off and having plenty of time off to enjoy your life is evil? As a matter of fact you trashed me earlier for saying that being rich and not having have to work is the way to go… wth?

Make you fat with that pasty complexion.. zitty and fat, maybe that is why you are miserable?

I'm actually tanned form sailing a lot and I’m in a decent shape as well. I wasn't what you call “banker" all my life. I've experienced my share of a hard life in the military and abroad.

and to all of you still debating...

life is not easer in the US but I believe there are far more opportunities for better life here than anywhere else.

9 out of 10 adaptability, resourcefulness, intelligence and a talent or a skill of some kind will get you where you wanna be …

The OP has to realise that he is a Pole, not an American.

What kind of BS is that? Did you read OP story? Do it again ? He is an American, an American criminal to be exact !
You have to realize that you are Eskimo!
gee!

There was a study comparing UK and US health, it found that the poorest people in the UK were in better health than the richest Americans.

There was also a study that has shown that when sh*t goes really bad, like when you need open heart surgery or a transplant, the richest of British come to America to get it done. Go figure.

While it may very well be true that many of the top specialized medical centers are located in US and cater to the elites of this world but then again; so do the exclusive hotels but I’ll bet you never stayed in one of those as it’s just too rich for your blood. Nothing really to brag about as I’ll bet you will ever see that kind of medical care in your lifetime, simply put your HMO won’t cover it and with that kind of coverage you’re better off with saving up for your funeral arrangements so your wife won’t have to put it on one of many credit cards you have which btw are maxed out anyway when the sh1t hits the fan for you.

Go figure. So close yet so far away.

I'm glad somebody can afford it!

Well, open an HSA, save up and purchase a health insurance for yourself if you think you may need it. It’s all about a choices.

Of course you can blame the government for everything, but I'm the type of a person that likes to have control over my money and I don't like to be told by someone else what’s good for me.

Preventive healthcare? Go ahead and shove it up ur as$. I wanna party, and when about to die because of it I need the best "reactive medical care" on the market available to fix me up so I can do it again.

I lived in a country with a social healthcare system and it sucked as$ big time.
