Why do Americans (and Canadians) hate Polish people?

My sister lives in Poland, just finished a conversation with her a couple of minutes ago and she said: "chory narod" when commenting on the current situation in the south.

Your sister lives in Poland - is she Polish?? What about you???

she said: "chory narod" when commenting on the current situation in the south.

She said, what's translates into "sick nation".

Stan kleski zywiolowej nie zoastal ogloszony poniewaz to nie pasuje politykom, ktorzy startuja do wyborow prezydenckich

As if "ogłoszenie stanu klęski" (announcing the state disaster) could stop the floods!!

Polish people are not dumb, they don't need annoucement of disaster to start preparing for expected floods or fight flood .
This time, many ordinary annoucements were made prior, that a big floods are expected.
Poles know very well the area where they live and the potential damage, if flood accurs. Annoucement of disaster changes nothing, it just helps after the flood with the property insurances and makes possible to pay money (6000pln per family is expected to be paid) by the government to every affected household as a help.

Who cares what politicians are doing at this time in Poland .They have the rights to prepare for the presidential election.

So if there are a couple of people who happen to be Americans/Canadians who have some opinions about Poles is irrelevant at the moment and you should be helping your Polish folks instead of wasting time on the internet, no?

Aren't you wasting your time???

are you for real man? you've got some serious anti-american issues dude.

You misunderstand. I love America and wouldn't trade my country for any other one. USA is number 1 with me! Still, it isn't perfect, and sometimes it's funny to mock some of the stupidity one sees and hears. Still, it's way better than any other place on earth!

Sadly, you appear dumb.
It has nothing to do with whether Poles have noticed there is a disaster or not. An official declaration of the state of emergency would automatically suspend the elections and many think this would make sense, as people have a few more things on their minds than the elections.

Additionally, handing of the flood might (or might not) be an important factor in the outcome of the elections.

As for the topic of the thread, it is too narrowed down. It should be "why do Americans hate all people?"

are you for real man? you've got some serious anti-american issues dude.

Increasingly it looks like the biggest anti-American here is you.
Or is it just your blindness? If you don't see the many issues that lead America in a downward spiral then I must assume you are.

Americans are a collection of "all peoples". We know the rest of you far to well to not hate you. Besides, you all look mal-nourished and waste all your time speaking dead tribal languages instead of English or Spanish. Such inefficiency!

"why do Americans hate all people?"

Americans don't hate people. You see, Americans are accustomed to a certain lifestyle and when it is threatened, they panic and react. This reaction appears hateful to some, but it's really just a defense mechanism.

Defense mechanism?
What were they defending themselves when they attacked Cuba in 1898? What were they afraid if when they stole Hawaii from its native population? Were they really afraid of Philippines? Nicaragua? Chile? Colombia and so many others?

The US is an empire that has been killing innocent people for a long time, and to this day it is against democratic processes around the world. How can that not mean that Americans hate all people, except for themselves of course.

Those are scary because their constitutions and lifestyles are so different from ours. We don't want to end up like them :S

they attacked Cuba in 1898

They were afraid of communism and the Russians. The entire cold war the nation was terrified of the Russians!

How can that not mean that Americans hate all people, except for themselves of course.

That MUST be why us Americanos gave millions if not billions of dollars to Haiti after the earthquake?

That's your thinking !! To suspend the Election, an official announcement must be placed, not just an announcement of state of disaster because of floods!!

It can be a reason but not a regulation to base on.

Once again, I don't think that an announcement of state disaster in Poland would stop flood - that's what I am reasoning.

As for the topic of the thread, it is too narrowed down. It should be "why do Americans hate all people?"

Some people from different countries don't like Polish people, why is it so hard to acknowledge that .
They have their reasons and that's understandable.

Sadly, you appear dumb.

Funny; we just create them, is all.

They were afraid of communism and the Russians.

Not in 1898 they weren't. Russia was an ally.

Americanos gave millions if not billions

Not that the Haitians will ever get it.

I fix'd that for you.
The Socialists have been killing innocent people for a long time, and to this day it is against democratic processes around the world. How can that not mean that Socialists hate all people, except for themselves of course.

z_darius:

Unbelievable ignorance!!
Afraid of communism and the Russians in 1898?
In 1898 Russia was a monarchy. There was no USSR.

Those are scary because their constitutions and lifestyles are so different from ours.

Killing people because of different lifestyle?
So how different was the lifestyle in Colombia that it pushed the desperate Americans to steal Panama from them? Were those arepa and tamal that scared Americans shhitless?

That MUST be why us Americanos gave millions if not billions of dollars to Haiti after the earthquake?

Americans (and France) are the main powers responsible for turning once the richest colony in the World into an economic and social disaster in the first place. It was non other than Woodrow Wilson who was responsible for the restoration of virtual slavery in Haiti. America owes Haiti. Haiti owes American a nothing.

The Socialists have been killing innocent people for a long time, and to this day it is against democratic processes around the world. How can that not mean that Socialists hate all people, except for themselves of course.

First, "socialist" as used above is debatable at least.
And then, what does that have to do with American "love" other people?

That's your thinking !! To suspend the Election, an official announcement must be placed, not just an announcement of state of disaster because of floods!!
It can be a reason but not a regulation to base on.

According to the Constitution, presidential elections cannot take place during an official state of emergency. No need to cancel elections. The declaration of the emergency cancels elections automatically.

Pretty sure it was Europe that hauled people over here in ships. Pretty sure it was white Americans that lay dead on the battlefield to free slaves. Yeah, blame America. Did I mention that I am made up of Polish, Northern Irish, and Native American blood? I mean real Native American not the **** South American stuff.

"we" did not create these countries. Nor did we write their constitutions. They are responsible for their own crappy govt, not USA.

The Capitalists have been killing innocent people for a long time, and to this day it is against democratic processes around the world.

Pretty sure it was Europe that hauled people over here in ships.

So all these frightened murderers are now Europeans :)

Pretty sure it was white Americans that lay dead on the battlefield to free slaves.

Oh, I know that's what they teach teach you in schools. Slaves were a noble pretext. Nobody cared about Africans, and it took another 100 years and brave Blacks to put an (mostly) end to the discrimination.

Did I mention that I am made up of Polish, Northern Irish, and Native American blood?

You're confusing me.
So there is "American blood" after all? Or does this depend on what suits you at the moment?

"we" did not create these countries.

Do you have any idea about the history of Panama? How, why and by whom it was created?

We could see the future. We were full of fear. This was a precursor to what was to come.

Yeah, I'm sure Americans saw the future alright.
So how are those flowers Iraqi flooded American troops with?

The question is: Why do Americans (and Canadians) hate Polish ppl???

Maybe they hate you. Just because some made a few comments does not mean everyone is the same. Did you talk with ALL Americans? You didn't talk to me or my friends and you base your opinion on a few handful of people. Just because Americans make jokes out of everything and you take it personally and don't understand our jokes causes you to make false assumptions about Americans.

Stalin?

He was not a socialist.
attributed 20 millions dead

Mao?

He was not a socialist.
Attributed 50 million deaths
In the end Americans didn't mind.

Hitler?

Financed by US and UK banks.

Pol-Pot?

He was not a socialist.
About 2 millions killed, which (while it lasted) was very convenient to the US, at the time involved in killings in East Timor.

So where's the remaining 88 millions of the alleged victims of "socialists"?

If you want to fight against corporate globalism I will be with you. but to blame Americans singly is too ignorant

I'll give you that.
The corporate world (the big one, not mom and pop shops) are the brains behind the mass murders. The US and mostly the UK are the muscle.

Just because Americans make jokes out of everything

Actually, there's quite a lot to be said in that...

Here are Three More for the Road...

"A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is privately concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men who, even if their action be honest and intended for the public interest, are necessarily concentrated upon the great undertakings in which their own money is involved and who necessarily, by very reason of their own limitations, chill and check and destroy genuine economic freedom." - Woodrow Wilson; 1912.

"We have restricted credit, we have restricted opportunity, we have controlled development, and we have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated, governments in the civilized world--no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and the duress of small groups of dominant men." - Woodrow Wilson; 1912.

SOURCE: THE WOODROW WILSON PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY

"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes the laws." - Mayer Rothschild; 1790.

[quote]I live in Poland and I've never heard any anti geraman or anti russian joke. In the other hand I think we are the only nation in the world to talk jokes about themselves... but polish jokes about polishmen are funny and really inteligent

Norwegians are worse than Poles when it comes to jokes about themselves. They're referred to as "ole and lena" jokes. The theme is a dumb Norwegian couple.

The movie "Fargo" is one big Norwegian joke.

Some of you poles are much too sensitive.

Am I Polish? Northern Irish? Native American? Help me understand.

Why won't you answer this in your own words? Afraid it will force you to see me as human? Will that interfere with your rage?

Thanks Rich!

I thought you were asking that of z_darius, not me.

Afraid it will force you to see me as human?

Not at all - good people can disagree. No harm, no foul.

Will that interfere with your rage?

It's unfortunate I gave you this wrong impression of me.

Tymoteusz:

and you were born in the US, right? Then you have the right to call yourself American, I would think.

but then, Americans are funny like that, they will call a woman with no visible traits of negroid race a black because one of her ancestors was black. See, instead of asking Polish people why dontcha ask your grandparents, or better-yet, their neighbors.

I just feel sad for you that you werent born in Canada, then you could proudly say you're a Native, tell people to get the f off of your land, and also get all sorta grants and financial aid from the CDN Government.

PS: If you don't know your ethnic background then how is someone else meant to know (unless you're looking for your parents on this forum).

And there really is not such a thing as Northern Irish ; so what is it, Irish or British, you ought to know,
same with your Native American ancestry, why do you think it is any good to have this? Again, looks like you do not know your ancestry and as far as u kno, your Native American ancestor could have been a Native from around British Columbia who sold out to the first pioneer Americans during the beaver trade.

PPS: if you really do not know any more than Polish, N.I, and American Indian - then I would say you are a third-class american.

You have ancestors from two of the most despised nations of europe and on top of that non-european blood to add to that strange mix.

you can always change your name, tell lies about your ancestry and ofcourse cover it with the nice security-fire-blanket-term 'American'.

Why do Americans hate Polish people? because they look like russians, are cheapskates, drink heavily, and they not really winnners are they. Nobody likes losers.

Why do Poles hate Americans - they have **** which costs money, soe are ugly as, they all crakheds and junkies, the American government is like a world Policja

It's just the way it is. Not all can be winners.
With some people(s) it just shows how sick n jealous they are, hating on other's due to their accomplishments.

A lot of Polish people have those traits, they are envious yet do nothing to improve themselves, they spit venom at others yet have not much be proud of. Hell, most of Polish people seem to be played like the Colonialist powers played the peoples they colonized.
A J  4 | 1075
22 May 2010 /  #59
Maybe those people aren't always sick and jealous, but just angry because a lot of people exploit them, abuse them, and keep them small deliberately.

Maybe most of the people who boast of their own accomplishments aren't always honest either. Maybe most of those people are allergic to sharing. Maybe most of those people think they are entitled to everything, simply because they are in a priviledged position. Maybe those people earn millions a year, but still claim they can't honestly pay all their hard working employees a bit more, so their employees can actually afford a decent education.

Maybe it's easier to study when you're young, when you have wealthy parents, and when you don't have many responsibilities, than to study when you're always working, paying the rents and having to feed your family. So maybe your accomplishments don't mean as much to others as you may think. Maybe it's not jealousy, but maybe it's anger over all the injustice. Maybe you don't know what it's like in Poland. Maybe you should try to walk a mile in their shoes, having no resources or contacts who will help you whatsoever. Maybe you should work in those factories for a few weeks, just to see what it's like. Maybe you'll learn something from such an experience.

Maybe.

;)
