There are some really good beers here. Until 2004, Tyskie used to be pretty good. Now, it's the smaller breweries that make the good stuff. I don't drink much but recommend going with the smaller breweries if quality is an issue for you.
In the UK before my Polish times i always drank Kronenbourg in the pub and from the shops, but after drinking Polish piwo i never drink anything else, Tyskie is the stuff, it has a clean crisp taste, just a really nice beer.
I like Zywiec :D after trying like 16 types of beer here... polish brands. But sincerely, to judge the best is hard to do as we couldnt try all beers in the world.
I bought some beers in Biedronka...cant remember the names, but better I wont buy beers there anymore. I found one link with some winner beers 2011 in many categories:
Polish beer is nothing special. it's on par with Thai beer.
The best lagers come from Germany & Belgium.. the best real ales are from Britain
I suspect the Poles love of importing and buying their own beer is just related to their inferiority complex in other country's and desire to assert ones "polishness" :D

That's why those bars in Spain are full of British beer, isn't it?
I suspect the British love of eating BRITISH FOOD on holidays (such as those massive greasy cooked breakfasts) are to do with the British inferiority complex too, aren't they?
We eat everything in the UK... didn't you know?? Indian, Chinese, Italian, Turkish restaurants all in abundance.
I'm going by what I see British tourists eat abroad. It's virtually always greasy breakfasts and for dinner, other clearly British food such as fish andchips or pie and chips.
And of course, they drink British beer. Clearly, an race filled with inferiority at the fact that they rely on their government to pay for their holidays.
The average joe in this country goes to the pub and drinks a pint of stella, carlsberg, fosters.
All brewed in Britain and with a distinctive British taste.
Anyone who has drank the genuine thing (at least - Carlsberg and Stella) knows fine well that the British variants are pathetic, weak and utterly undrinkable. As for Fosters - anyone drinking that deserves ridiculed.
It also says a lot about how poor Britain is if everyone is drinking "foreign" brands. I mean, can't you produce ONE good lager?
London Pride is a bitter, not a brown ale. As for being popular only with oldies, I can't believe that. Courage Director's is another great London brew. One of the only things I miss about the UK is the real beer, especially Theakstone's, Boddingtons and Bass in the north, and the wonderful Green King Abbot ale in East Anglia. It really is worth exploring English beer when visiting the country. There are so many, and I really don't know why people prefer the gassy disco-p1ss served in pubs at three quid a pint when they have the opportunity to drink real beer.
you're diverting from the original argument :D SHOCKER
yes we have a great beer culture some of the best and oldest breweries in the world are from the UK. But the average guy will drink foreign cheap **** on tap in the pub.
The fact remains though, we are confident who we are, we drink and eat what we like regardless of where it's come from.
