They used a bin this time....

Outside MacDonalds as I remeber.

Maybe the child they murdered in the name of Ireland was oppressing them somehow.

While I sort of ,well I do agree that less than one mag of 7.62 between an entire platoon of Paras is far far from trigger happy,it clearly was a crime that someone should have been charged with before I was born.

So,perspective, Bloody Sunday was shocking, but this was not some Einzatzgruppen death squad ethnicaly cleansing catholics as some loons on here would like to portray.

The Bloody british Army (TM) didnt invade some happy clappy The Quiet Man leprechaun infested emereld isle and suddenly throw lots of poor catholic boys in concentration camps for no reason.

Internment, with hindsight had serious flaws, but, when you have dozens of bombs going off every week in belfast and London, and a population who shelters thugs and murderers what else is to be done short of mass excecutions?

Give Northern Ireland back to the Irish.

And all this talk of the PIRA neatly sidesteps the issue of why the British divided the island.

No, it is attempting to try and drag some context to a point where most of us were actually alive FFS.
Should I p!ss and moan about Irish kinglets invading and occupying parts of England and Wales in the Dark Ages?????

Answer part two;
Did it have anything to do with the fact that while Britain with tens of thousands of Irish volunteers ,was fighting the Germans in WW1 a German/Irish American sponsored and armed insurection took place, treason and mutiny by the proper names? Was that what you were hinting at? Nope, oh yes, thats one of those points left off the all new PC history of the lovely innocent irish and nasty evil baby killing brits isnt it......come on, there are very few entirely innocent or entirely guilty parties in any of this.

Cromwell invaded, BOOOO...oops, it was a pre emptive invasion as the irish were set to invade england...but ******** hapens, its the 21st century, time to grow up.

Oh yes, TM, trade mark...not you TM :)

They killed two, Tim Parry and Jonathan Ball.

RIP, gone but not forgotten...Tim Parry's father actually helped the peace process.

why the British divided the island.

Because they're idiots...dont think for one moment that any sane Brit is proud of what the government of that time did.

I think the IRA could have gone about things in a different way - they should have been more strategic in their attacks, not one person was killed in Manchester and very few were hurt, but they devistated the city and caused millions of £'s worth of damage - this was a real win for them Id have said.

at least the muslims have the good grace to vapourise their sick little arses at the same time as they murder, your heroes RN all hid like little girls...

You cant even put the IRA in the same bracket as terrorists and they are somewhat justified in their attacks on the mainland, 100s of years of occupation and persecution by the English being 2 of them. Im not a sympathiser, but I understand their reasons, if someone invaded my country and did what the English did over there, I think I'd fight back.

Calm down
There is a lot to be said about fighting for the rights of small nations provided one of them wasn't Ireland. I recall it was the Unionist minority who imported German weapons to prepare for a mutinous rebellion against HMG and nothing was done, treason, only if you are Irish it would appear.

No, it is attempting to try and drag some context to a point where most of us were actually alive FFS.

OK, the British army were sent to Ireland to put the Nationalists in their place, to restore Unionist oppression. Remember the Nationalists were asking for equal treatment within the UK.

But its always our fault! and no doubt Sheep would have come along and made up a good excuse, Ive been working with Scots for about 2 months and the lack of accountability is staggering...One even blamed the trashing of Manchester city centre on Manchester city council..it had nothing to do with drunken rangers fans!!!!!

If they still occupied parts of england and Wales, sure.

But they dont.

England still occupies one sixth of my island.

Good days work in Warrington on a busy day just before mothers day when lots of kids would be out shopping for that something special.

Very sad. And I mean that. But there would have been no bombings. No provos. No tit for tat sectarian killings if the root cause ceased to exist. The illegal occupation of Ireland.

Lol true.

Ulster wise there is still some way to go but it's heading in the right direction. Let's hope the worst is well and truly behind it.
