Will a Playstation 3 purchased in UK work in Poland?

Ok I know it may sound daft, but will it? Wanted to get one for my sister and her husband. Don't really care too much about the whole PS3 online network and I doubt they will. I expect if the PS3 will work there, all the games and blurays bought in UK will work too?? Thanks!

All games are region free, but it may not play all blue ray movies (Again I think all movies officially sold in Poland will work , only the ones bought from other regions like US may not work ).

Yeah i know the difference between Pal and NTSC. Just wondered if the playstation will work. Different socket plugs or voltages, that kind of thing.

Only a converter will be enough for power. There won't be any other problem if their TV has a HDMI connection.

Isn't it easier to buy the thing in Poland (because of the difference in power plugs)? Mediamarkt.pl even has an online shop.
