I know the UK government are trying to cut down on administrative expense, for example archiving space, but storing top secret military files in Shane Spencer's airing cupboard is a cut too far.

This is funny, some ordinary guy got access to such information with ease, imagine that... now this can open a can of worms.

in my opinion its impossible that some simple man, no matter nationality, get access to such an important documents. Its either some journalistic joke (maybe even with intention to be on the account of Poles) or, something more serious- Britain`s provocation of Poland. For what reason, i can`t speculate right now.

on the second thought, reason could be that establishment in Britain wants to point out that is Poland weak point in NATO structure.

no. Its even worse title. It would be like that public needs to understand how Poles don`t exist within European Union

Sounds like a charming gentleman.

If the classification was restricted then there would be nothing of value in the documents.

Also if the information was classed as restricted then the information is old, as the classifications have changed, now its either Official, Secret or Top Secret.

Polish Government turned him over to the UK... so even more funny Your in the EU now, you don't have a country!

Why was this guy taking restricted documents home and keeping them so insecure he did even know they were missing?

Even if they did, he'd probably have been handed over anyway - there have been a few cases like that round the world, and Britain and Poland are friendly countries.

If they didn't, he'd have been on an EAW anyway, so he'd have been extradited automatically, and that would be on the system at any airport should he enter or leave Schengen.
