Applying for Poland's citizenship using a specialised service or trying on my own?

Just seeking some advice on applying for polish citizenship. Mum is polish and still has polish passport, I myself am a British citizen but I am desperate not to lose my ru citizenship and am looking to maybe one day move to poland so want to apply for polish citizenship. Have emailed embassy and ha e told me the steps. All seems a tad complicate though. They have recommended a company called hexon who specialise in citizenship applications and sort everything out. They appear to charge £950 for everything.

Would people recommend biting the bullet and using them or trying to sort out myself? I can speak polish fairly fluently but struggle to read and write but do have my mum to help me

£950 is utterly ridiculous for such a simple case. Get a sworn translation of your birth certificate, fill in this form:

attach a copy of your mother's passport as instructed at the bottom of page 6 and you are done.
