WHAT IS IT ABOUT POLISH PEOPLE THAT MAKES THEM THINK THAT UK WANTS THEM?

a Briton in Poland will not be entitled to the SAME amount of welfare as a Pole in the UK.

You are missing the point. There are no benefits as such for foreigners in Poland, that is why you cannot claim them. The fact that the UK gives benefits, means, that they must be available to all. that, is the EU regulation.

Do you know avalon?

To my knowledge, there are no child benefits here. I have a daughter (six today) who I support. I have not paid into the Polish system so would not expect anything.

If this this true then I feel angrier now than I did at the beginning of this post. do you think those scroungers who come here from Eastern Europe have paid anything into the system here? Yet there is no shortage of them in the dole office in London...believe me.

Let me illustrate my point Payouts per child for child welfare in Poland = £3:62pm per chlld . Same child benefit in UK = £3,600.62 pm . Slight exaggeration on both parts as I don't actually know the exact amounts. Can someone enlighten me please.

indoctrination and uninformed intellect.

quite.
I think CB in POland is approx 10 euro a month, in UK it's about 70 pounds a month depending on the child.

Anyway it's really all peanuts in the greater scheme of things.

in UK it's about 70 pounds a month depending on the child.

£87 for first child per month

£58 for those that follow

So its not a bad screw for those with a few kids!

Anyway it's really all peanuts in the greater scheme of things.

10 euros is, nearly £100 isnt when its coming out of the tax payers pocket!

This country welcomes hard working honest decent people but even Ive heard Poles (the few Ive known) moan about the trash that had followed them here...

As far Poland I was lead to understand child benefit is means tested and quite hard to obtain.

As I said before, your anger should be directed at the government who have allowed this situation to occur, not the people who have a right to claim in accordance with EU law. If you do not like it, ask yourself who you and your friends, family etc, voted for in previous elections. Perhaps you should persuade them to vote out the incompetent political parties that have allowed this to happen. You are one person, the majority (of voters) have got what they voted for and to my mind, they deserve everything they get. 13 billion in foreign aid, 7 billion to the EU and you go on about a few million, you need to look at your priorities.

A million people marched through London to oppose Britain's participation in the Iraqi war, Blair ignored them. Both Labour and the Tories have refused to honour their manifestos with regard to holding a referendum on continued membership of the EU, if they had, you would not have the situation you now find yourself in. Democracy in the UK is dead and will shortly disappear throughout Europe. When Labour won their last election, 42% of the British people bothered to vote, Blair actually won with 26% of the vote!!!!

You honestly think you can change the British public?. The communists stopped selling the "Morning Star" in the shopping precincts when they realised the British were too lazy to have a revolution.

My England died in 1997. I am lucky to have good memories but I feel sad for this and the next generation.

You need to examine your position closer you are being played and fooled.
So you have few Poles taking advantage of a system costing few million pounds a year and that makes you angry, I can sympathize with you but your government raises VAT tax then spends billions of pounds in war so some corporation can profit then it allows banks in city of London to still billions more from English tax payers , every banking fraud is run in city of London and yet you are upset at Poles. People like you join Hitler to vilify few you need to start thinking for yourself and that is the best thing you can do.

exactly Marek, like I said, its peanuts when you look at the bigger picture. Some people find it hard to do that.

'So its not a bad screw for those with a few kids' - how is it a 'screw' Amathyst? I receive £140 a month for two children, and it gets spent on them, not me.

War has always created jobs - jobs fuel the economy.

exactly Marek, like I said, its peanuts when you look at the bigger picture.

pennies make pounds (you know the saying, look after the pennies and the pounds wil take care of themselves!) therefore its worth looking at the smaller picture and realising that for everything £1 taken out of the tax coffers it affects us all in a big way...hospitals, schools, libraries, funding for associated costs for the elderly..the list is endless..constantly blaming bankers is merely a way of shifting blame, this country was on skid row long before the banking system went tits up..

War does not create wealth it destroys wealth, you cannot become wealthy by building bombs and blowing thing up you become wealthy by building schools, bridges, hospitals public works.

Really, shifting blame, you are one misguided person that does not understand real life and the banking practices, ignorant people do evil things but evil people use ignorance to get good people to do evil thing, think for yourself please.

Jesus wept.

Is it any wonder the Brits never had a revolution in the modern period.

A massively rich country that is still the sixth largest exporter by value in the world that subsidises its high tech industry (one of the top in the world) by fair means and foul, that has a veto in the security council, a country that likes to portray its self as sophisticated and civilised which it mostly is, one disgruntled guy with an axe to grind and a poor grasp of his own history posts crap about poor people and you tear your place to shreds.

**** me, Britain for all its faults is a modern liberal democracy that provides a lot for its people and guests.

Seriously Britain must be traumatised from loosing top dog status.

Funny how such a crap nation has propped up and employed the dregs of Europe for years now isnt it. Gave jobs and homes to 2 million Poles didnt it....only time Poland has ever hosted so many foriegners is when its invaded and occupied.......

Poland overflowing with people from all over the world desperate to take advantages of its sociaty are they? If not, STFU you know nothing bloowhards.

Its not just people like oxon who are getting dissatisfied and frustrated, hundreds are writing in to the MSM every day. More are beginning to realise that they are being lied to on a daily basis. Anger is being stored up and when it finds a release, many people will suffer.

Just one example from the Telegraph today:-

Quite right and you have hit on the nub of the entire problem.

The Eurofrauds are getting away with this because they have, over a period of time , dumbed down their electorates, nowhere more effectively than in the UK where a quisling Brussels Broadcasting Corp actively help the politicians hide the truth.

Dumbing down has resulted in a populace with a high percentage who are incapable - and unwilling - to get their heads round the fact that they are being corralled up for slaughter financially..

This suits the politicians down to the ground...look at the number who would still vote for Dave, Clegg and Milliprick without question....

If you are not a member of that large group, emigration away from the EU is your only hope because the voting system is corrupt and rigged to keep the LibLabCon in power.

Nope, sorry.
The outcome of years of migration after Poland joined EU is that over 1.9 milion Poles live outside Poland at the moment. Only a quarter of that in Britain. Not even close to this 2m myth.

Any source whatsoever for this claim? I have these for example:

I have this one for example:

if that is correct with the South Arican's in the UK at 236,000 based on obsevation alone the Poles would be up at around 5 million, what a load of crap.

Any source whatsoever for this claim?

There are no accurate sources and its in the Governements interests to keep it that way.

half million is on the voluntary ONS register. Builders, decorators and other cash in hand workers don't bother.

There are no accurate sources

...so your impressions take over?

So

based on obsevation alone

...there are 2 million of Polish people in the UK.
Based on research - Polish population (in Poland) is currently short of 1.9 million people.
That would mean they all travelled to the UK - and multiplied a bit on the way, to make for the tens of thousand difference.

And then 1.5 million have never registered for the NIN (and following the drift of some posts here - that would mean they cannot claim any benefits, right? Correct me if I'm wrong on this one).

i dont understand what you are trying to say.

Basically i would estimate the Polish population in the UK to be between 1 and 1.5 million, London surely has about 300,000 - 450,000 right there.
ladykangaroo  - | 165
2 Mar 2012 /  #266
i would estimate

But on the basis of what exactly? Observation? How far can a single person observation go? Let's say someone lives in an area with relatively high percentage of Polish / Easter European neighbours. He will be inclined to overestimate the number of immigrants on national level (and London seems to have a particularly high level of immigrant population, I wouldn't be surprised if half of Polish people live / work there. Dublin also shows over-representation of Polish people when compared to the rest of Ireland).

However the figures (and not only the "Governments'" ones) show the rough data: 1.9 million Poles are not accounted for (in Poland). How can you get 2m in the UK, if only 1.9m left the country? Why there are only 500-600,000 registered for NIN (and that includes also people who registered but left the country - either coming back to Poland or moving somewhere else, from what I know Norway and the Netherlands are increasingly popular)?

But on the basis of what exactly? Observation?

years of knowledge.

Wikipedia listed Southampton, UK with 1 in 10 being Polish about three years ago, i can assure you the Polish populaiton of Southampton has increased since then, the Poles do not go home they just keep coming. I know of ONE member of this forum that actually returned, only one - Torq. Do you know of any others?

My brother in law was here a few months ago, since his arrival he personally informed me of another three which followed within a small group of people of which he was affiliated,, all coming none going, in the space of a few weeks. Everywhere you go there are Polish people in every single city, town or village.

Arent you in Ireland right now?

I wouldn't be surprised if half of Polish people live / work there

No way. Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Sheffield, Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh. If Southampton has 20,000 officially (more like 35,000 unofficially) and is only a small city, what would be the population of Manchester for example? 100,000 officially? What about Northern Ireland? atleast 100,000 in Belfast.

Dublin also has over-representation of Polish people in Ireland).

get out of here, Dublin is Ireland.

How can you get 2m in the UK, if only 1.9m left the country?

I said 1 - 1.5 million, how many do you think?

Why there are only 500-600,000 registered for NIN

more than 50% dont register

Do you know of any others?

I personally know two families that returned to Poland, following their plan they had on arrival in 2007.
I know well two more Polish families currently living in the UK (and probably going to stay for good). Actually from all my friends that emigrated only a small percentage chose Great Britain as the destination. So, on the basis of MY OWN observations I should probably say that there aren't too many Polish people in the UK and that Germany / France / Norway / New Zealand / Spain / USA and Ukraine received similar levels of immigration. And Ireland got five as many people :D

Also, the last wave of emigration happened in 2007.

But I don't think my own experience is a very good indicator of what's going on on national / international level.

I said 1 - 1.5 million, how many do you think?

700-800,000 max would be my wild guess.

atleast 100,000 in Belfast.

Well, if we are quoting wikipedia here...

here are now believed to be 30,000 Polish people living in Northern Ireland.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_minorities_in_Northern_Ireland#cite_note-3

more than 50% dont register

...and give up on all the benefits on offer? :>
