Polish passport - Can I apply from the UK?

My friends daughter is 10 years old and her Polish passport has expired. Her father has been deported from UK for committed domestic violence. He hasn't have permission by law to contact them. How she can renew her passport without father? Is there any way?

Get an attorney to act as an intermediary.

I was born in England
both my parents were born in Poland are polish I have obtained my grandfather & grandmothers marriage cert (on my fathers side) also have my fathers birth cert

Polish consulate manchester (Quicker than london)

You need to go there to get it done.

All British documents i.e. your birth certificate would have to be translated into Polish by a sworn translator.
One thing - you just have to provide them with everything they ask for and obviously pay along the way. The whole process, if all documents are accepted will take you from 6 months to over a year.

my partner hasgone back to poland to renew her passport apparently she will have to return to collect it in person......will they not post it out. theyre happy to post them out from uk consulates as i understand. Dont get me wrong its nice for her to see her folks but its an added expense

She could have had it done at the Polish Embassy in London. She probably said that she had to go back in order to get away from you for a while.

In Poland passports are collected because you have to sign for them. They match your signature to the application to ensure that you are the person on the passport.

cheaper for her to fly out to Bydgoszcz than to get the train to london......plus i get a case of vodka out of it ;)

lol.........youre joshing with me? £48 return is very very cheap, hard to make sense of tbh best illustration is its cheaper to fly out and have her hair done than to have her hair done to the same standard here in the UK.... only shame is business/work often prevents me/us going, but we fly her folks over 3 or 4 times a year to help mitigate this

Nowadays they take your fingerprints and later check them again when you collect it. I think it is quite good idea.

Can't you wife contact passport office in Poland and ask for more information ?

Yes you can apply the passport for the baby with polish mother overseas.I did my own kids years back.You can do it yourself or your wife can as forms are in Polish.

You need to contact the Polish Embassy or the Polish consulate. Go on their websites and read up about it. You may need to make an appointment to talk to someone.

What are the reasons u want Polish passport? If those are just Brexit only i strongly hope u'll get denied

It would be best to contact the Polish Embassy, but in order to get a first Polish passport, you will need a Polish birth certificate, and PESEL number. Your child will have to have his birth registered in Poland. I am fairly sure that if you have an English birth certificate for him, then it's possible to get a one year temporary passport here in the UK, but after that you will have to make that trip to Poland.
