DG,

sending back =/= slowing down. They do not have to be connected. I think most voted BRExit in order to not have Brussels trying to force quotas.

No thanks- no they did not. Educated people believe that but most of the people did not know about Brussels, trade, quotas or anything. All they saw was shutting the gates.

I don't doubt that some people voted to shut the gates and are annoyed that they didn't shut immediately, but not 17+ million.

The remainers are just annoyed that they didn't win and Brexit being a success just doesn't fit in with the narrative that it cannot be a success at any cost...even if that means tenuous links to events such as the murder of this poor man.

Given the population of England 17 million is possible that this is what they did want. Especially given the reports in the press, interviews with people in the days and weeks afterwards I do believe this.

Obama visiting Britain and using scare tactics might have been the final coffin nail :0

Given the population of England 17 million is possible that this is what they did want.

England had the highest number of voters (34 million I think), then Scotland, then Wales and then Northern Ireland. England and Wales voted to leave and Scotland and Northern Ireland voted to stay BUT the UK as a whole voted to leave and that is what counts, however much some people don't like that fact.

Obama visiting Britain and using scare tactics might have been the final coffin nail :0

The more people such as Obama endorsed 'Remain' the more it annoyed people that's true. Jean-Claude Juncker shoving his oar in really didn't help either.

The guy's name was Arek Jozwik, and Arek Jozwik was apparently murdered by 20 teenagers! Not to mention "slave".

INDIANS, PAKISTANIS, AFGHANS ETC... Are immigrating to UK for centuries but they weren't hated as much as the Polish immigrants who just got bad reputation in 10 years!!!!

I live in Warsaw for more then 4 years and ironically i found it very hard to like a Polish person....
I have canadian, british, american, swedish, italian etc friends and everybody feels the same...it is not easy to make a good Polish friend. I don't know why!

it's a dangerous place compared to Poland

Crime rate in the UK is still low, and murder rates are similar. Poland in 2014 had 532 murders.

No, for me it isn`t

Well I live here Crow, and it is not normal for Poles to be beaten to death on British streets, so you don't know what you are talking about.

English are responsible for that atmosphere of hatred on Poles and everything Slavic in Britain.

I feel no hatred toward Poles or any other nationality, and most English people are just the same. Unfortunately there will always be a very small minority of racist and bigoted idiots, and they're not just confined to the UK either.

The left rags such as the Guardian and state broadcaster the BBC will try their best to pin it on those illiterate, backward, racist and xenophobic Brexit crowd as we are known over there.

Unfortunately, no one actually knows why it happened because no trial has been implemented yet, evidence given etc.

No one knows why a group of yobs regardless of nationality, attacked two men, just like a group of young men attack a man outside his house and kicked him to death because he stopped them wrecking his car.

All will come out in the wash, as they say.

The media is reporting "the attackers overheard Non-English being spoken"

But isn't that common in that area? Couldn't they have had run ins with the deceased leading up to the attack.

1 Million Polaks in 10 years

Its clear now why they need Poles, i mean, those who are lucky not to be killed on British streets. For sedimentation of those Indians.

i see what`s going on. Poles are target because they are Poles, because they are Slavs and believe me, English don`t need that sh**. English aren`t in position to behave as dominant species. They aren`t. They already need services from Slavs.

From my understand - all the Native Brits have packed up and moved to places such as Essex to get away from the multiculturalism that destroyed their hometowns. Essex must be the hardcore and resentful Brits

"English aren`t in position to behave as dominant species. They aren`t. They already need services from Slavs."

Crow the English that I have known, having lived in England for over fifty years are very similar to poles / Slavs, they certainly have more in common with us than most other migrants from other nations they have chosen to host, most Brits don't feel superior or dominant these days they realize that empire is long gone and there is much for them to do to find a place in the modern world, but I must admit Brexit came as a bit of a shock to me, I wish them luck for the future, they certainly took care of me and my family our time of exile, for that I will always be grateful, but i won't be returning to Britain any time soon, I don't feel safe there anymore.

Hi all, I've just joined this forum because I'm absolutely discussed at the recent hate crimes seemingly directed at polish people. Firstly can I introduce myself as a 45 Yr old English builder. I just want to say that I have a great respect and regard for the polish people and can only apologise for the mindless idiots! Here in England we have our fair share of complete mindless idiots, but I believe every country has them! Please don't think we are all like that!! The majority of people here feel your outrage! There should be a polish and English protest if only to show the mindless idiots that their behaviour won't be tolerated!

Probably with very good reason

From what has been reported so far, some of those involved were very young - one as young as 13 - so I would imagine that if the motive was nationality, then they would have done it regardless of the referendum result.

Hello. Nice to have you come aboard. Thank you for the kind words. Majority of Polaks recognize the complexity of the situation and know the same behavior occurs in Poland against foreigners. Western Civilization is at a crossroads and people are reacting out of fear of the unknown.

Hi nothanks I agree with everything you say, the world isa crazy place right now. I've got to say though I hope polish people realise that they have a lot of friendsInEngland! I think a special place! Most people I know have only praise for polish people or maybe a little unbelief at the work ethic. As for brexit I must admit I voted leave, but it was not personal against any European country, in fact we all knew that anyone who is here is part of our country! I think England has more hang ups about being ruled by Berlin rather than Westminster, any way I'm not one for protests but I would be there for the poles and so would most of the people I know.

Development of situation

Top Polish officials to visit London following attacks on Poles

Poland is expecting to see "assurances from the British side that the country would provide safety for Poles and launch a new education program that will raise awareness of how useful Poles are for the British society and economy, that they are not a burden," Sobczak said.

Post-Brexit Britain's becoming a scary place for non-English aka non-English-SPEAKING foreigners, even white foreigners, it seems:-)

Japan's little different though towards her Chinese, Malay, and Korean minorities either; it's merely a typical island mentality (hence the term "insular")!

i hope, i sincerely hope that this British animosity on Poles finishes in massive Polish leaving of British islands and coming back to Poland. That would be something
