Why do so many Polish guys in the UK have a crew cut or buzz cut?

So what you're saying is the mullet is slavic in origin?

According to the following passage from The Secret History of Procopius it would seem that the mullet was the coiffure favored by the Massagatae- the nomadic nation from whom Pan Zagloba claimed descent:

First the rebels revolutionized the style of wearing their hair. For they had it cut differently from the rest of the Romans: not molesting the mustache or beard, which they allowed to keep on growing as long as it would, as the Persians do, but clipping the hair short on the front of the head down to the temples, and letting it hang down in great length and disorder in the back, as the Massageti do. This weird combination they called the Hun haircut.

"Hun" haircut?? Thought it was referred to as a "kancik" in Polish. Maybe my spelling's off-:)))LOL
This is sometimes called a "tonsure" in English when referring to the haircut favored by monks.

Tonsure is the exact opposite of the haircut once favored by the Polish szlachta, the former being a shaven crown and the latter shaving all but the crown.

Shaven crown sounds like self imposed male pattern baldness.

Bald wirst du schon bald, SaschaLOL He-He!

Don't mind the pun, PF Admin. I merely quipped that soon Sascha too would be bald, a play on German 'bald' (wkrótko) and the English word of the same spelling but different pronunciation-:)

Actually even average testosterone levels can lead to baldness. It's a particularly weak hair follicle that is knocked for six by testosterone that leads to baldness. The only proven method to stop going bald is castration. I'd rather lose my hair than my nuts as most people. Being bald is supposed to confer high status according to some.

Yet many celebs, such as Sinead O'Connor, consider it a sign of high femininity (..either before or after kemo)

so we dont look like gay emo style english guys...

The ironic thing is, those shaved heads, tight T-shirts and bomber jackets make them look just like someone off Old Compton Street.

You're probably the sort of uneducated burak **** who beats people up for looking like a Goth.

One reason is conservatism among polish.Right loving individuals always tend to more minimalistic hair than their revolutionary counterparts

You've obviously never had anything to do with the techno party scene - which is full of shaven-headed guys (and even a few women lol) and is politically about as left-wing as you can get without joining the Communist party. Stick to making your Turkish kebabs.

If you are noticeably losing your hair, shave most of it off or it looks silly. That's what I do. Many people do it.

I think he asks because the Chetniks were notoriously hairy.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chetniks
basic info and some pics.

there were partizans too, but they were also not too much of the hairy type, though in s. europe people seem to have much better hair than in the north. spain, italy, greece, ex-yu itd. baldness is not such an issue there.

mr karadzic used the normal body hair as camouflage like every average criminal. thats always the first option. he or his clients better benefitted from that by emitting seriousness and confidence while practising his healing methods while being dr. dabic. ;)

that is drazen mihailovic. look on the wiki link. there is his pic without and with beard. :)

that is hairy??? he has a vollbart. thats it. hairy is sth different...when the beard touches ur feet f.e. ;)

more problematic is their history and collaboration with nazi germany.
