Jacek Międlar the racist clergyman (currently suspended from all pastoral and sacramental duties by his diocese) was threatening to address a neo-nazi rally in Telford. Fortunately today, since the article below was published, his pond-life supporters from Britain First are now whinging that he's been refused entry. For those unfamiliar with this guy, he recently described Jews as 'cancer'.

Personally I was hoping he'd be allowed in then arrested for hate speech.

Really, now Jon? The article doesn't mention the Nazis at all. It says he was cleared of whatever anti-Semitism that he had been accused of promoting, and that he has the traditional Catholic view that homosexuality is immoral. I can completely understand why you are offended by that, but you chose to live in a very Catholic state. Equating the Nazis with denouncing homosexuality is plainly wrong since many were, in fact, homosexuals. You would have had a good time back in the day.

A lot of coverage here in Poland of the fascist Międlar being refused entry to Britain, in fact the rolling news coverage is reporting it every few minutes and the general conclusion is that it was the right thing to do. Apparently Essex Police made the decision on public order grounds.

No such thing. If you had read the rules on freedom of movement, states are perfectly able to deny entry if someone poses a danger to the public. In this case, he was coming with the intention of inciting others.


Poland should also consider excluding people who openly discriminate against national minorities, particularly if that person is the spiritual successor to the person formerly known as The Artist. As you will be well aware, the Polish constitution requires everyone to be treated equally.


He won't win, as the law clearly allows refusal in the event of the person being a threat to public safety. It is the mechanism used to deny residence applications of undesirable EU citizens in other EU countries, and the same mechanism that was used to deport large amounts of Roma back to Romania.
