i don't like when people thinks its okey to threat people like sh*t just because they come from a poorer country and just try to earn a living and maybe save some so he can have a decent life in his fatherland.

Who treats who like that, are you being a bit melodramatic?

That attitude have been there all the time.

I see. So Irish people innately have something against Polish people - before they even encounter any. Right.

We ain't rich enough and don't got a wellfare system that support lazy people.

Not the point - hypothetically, I asked what attitude they would encounter in Poland. I'll try a guess - I think they would get a very bad reception.

You have some cheek accusing other countries of anti-Polish attitudes when your own is one of the most (if not the most) racist in Europe.

Kidding me right?

You will for sure find some examples of lazy poles but compared to your own natives they ain't even close to living off "tax money".

Sorry, I forgot, you are one these people who think Poles sh1te bars of soap aren't you?

Sorry to burst your illusion but among the hard working Poles there are plenty who do the bare minimum and plenty who live off the state. I've met them.

Imagine that?

Very difficult to take you seriously David.

After all those things you read in the news papers you really start to wonder you know

All what things?

the local team is known as "The Saints"
and they play on St. Mary's stadium :) The best town in England!

Well done, i think they also have a few Polish players.

I was googling away the other day and found this web site:
sospolonia.net/NOTICE-BOARD/]Interesting article

Daniel went to Southampton City Council to ask for help. They did help - they gave Daniel a beautifully printed brochure, written in Polish, one of these 'know your rights' publications containing the great revelation that a landlord cannot evict tenants without notice.

The above paragraph is just oozing with sarcasm, thats a debate right there. Actually thats quite annoying i mean at least it was written in Polish imagine the opposite in Poland.

Polish and English junior football team here, its a thriving community.

After all those things you read in the news papers you really start to wonder you know.

You seem to be taking stuff I said and twisting it into an argument about how terribly the polish are treated by the Irish

1. You go to a foreign country and in your place of work you speak only your native tongue with your fellow countrymen 6 of you 1 english speaking thatt is ignorance yes

I grew up in Africa I speak 6 different languages in Ireland english in Holland dutch when I move to poland polish its a respect thing

2. In my town in my place of work there are people on minimum wage driving merceded benz 7 actually new ones too

when I asked how they can afford it they cheat the government they collect rent allowance child support and so on and so forth and they are proud of it

Just as there is a minority In ireland who have a bad attitude towards poles there is an even larger minority of poles with a bad attitude towards the Irish.

Climb off your pedestal david it takes 2 to tango

There are certainly plenty of them claiming disability benefits while working on the side. Who is staffing all those guarded car parks, I wonder?

No.

Depends. If they just sit and live on our tax money then yes people would get pissed, but if they work hard i would't see any problem with them being in Poland.

You have some cheek accusing other countries of anti-Polish attitudes when your own is one of the most (if not the most) racist in Europe.

Accusing? I'm just telling you the truth. I sincerely hope that your country can improve its behaviour to its hardworking guests.

And yes some poles are racists. Kinda funny due to the fact that we don't even got black people in Poland. The racism must have been imported from abroad... U.K or Ireland maybe? ;)

Sorry, I forgot, you are one these people who think Poles sh1te bars of soap aren't you?

Like i said you would find me some examples of lazy poles. But this is something your govement needs to work on. i don't understand why you have a wellfare system that benefits the lazy ones. WORK WORK WORK!

some examples of lazy poles.

Not some - lots - time and time again.

See posts above too (wroclawboy)

What are basing this acute observation on David - have you even been there?

Was just teasing you :( Im so sorry that i can't bend over and take all the crap your writing from the behind.

What are basing this acute observation on David - have you even been there?

Not in ireland. But been traveling into the U.K plenty of times to visit some friends. Most of the things i know is by reading the newspapers and other online sources.

Not some - lots - time and time again.

Whatever makes you happy!

1. You go to a foreign country and in your place of work you speak only your native tongue with your fellow countrymen 6 of you 1 english speaking thatt is ignorance yes

Not really. I call it normal to speak your native language with your fellow countrymen.

I grew up in Africa I speak 6 different languages in Ireland english in Holland dutch when I move to poland polish its a respect thing

Good for you, i hope you find a job that makes use of your Language skills.

2. In my town in my place of work there are people on minimum wage driving merceded benz 7 actually new ones too

Do i smell some jealousy?

when I asked how they can afford it they cheat the government they collect rent allowance child support and so on and so forth and they are proud of it

Anything wrong to collect your rights? they are still working their arsh of?

Just as there is a minority In ireland who have a bad attitude towards poles there is an even larger minority of poles with a bad attitude towards the Irish.

And your accusations are based on facts? i don't think so.

You guys are giving up so fast. I wonder how long it would take before the U.K would have lost the war if it werent for some stubborn polish soldiers and the American army.

of course Im jealous I work twicw as hard get paid twice as much and drive a heap of shite cause im honest.

So its ok fo you to earn twice as much right? but its not okey for them to earn less and have the same rights?

Maybe it's old news for some on here.

Not complaining, just thought it was a surprising statistic - proportionately, a lot more than in the UK for example.

Approx. one in twenty people in Ireland are Polish!

Not suprising at all. Many Poles visited your country just like UK where you can't find a single village whithout a Pole.

What are your thoughts about it, Teffle?

David_18

David please stop argue and talking nonsense. They have right, I don't live in delusions that everyone is honest. I blive tham if they say that many Poles are cheating the welfare etc.

Btw. chefneedshelp you can always denounce that person who is cheating the govern.

What are your thoughts about it, Teffle?

Well overall I think it's a good thing - Poles in Ireland I mean - good for Ireland but maybe not so good for Poland I suppose. Really it's the first time that the country has seen a large influx of people who weren't actually invading!

I get the impression that most Poles have integrated well and are generally liked. A few that I know personally have married Irish men/women and I have some very good Polish friends.

Generally they have a good reputation too - e.g. hard working, straight talking, loyal etc but yes, many are indeed living off welfare and often by choice. To be honest this does not particularly bother me as plenty of Irish people do it too. What can I say? I don't approve but they are no better or worse than anyone else who is doing it.

udging the Irish It is just sum folks but you would be surprised with how many people say that the country is downn the toiets cause of the poles

yes, I am very very surprised, I haven't heard that being said or even alluded to once , how would it be the Polish people's fault that the country's economy has gone into a nosedive.???? you must have been at a government meeting...blaming everyone and everything but their own incompetence and greed

Most Irish despise the poles and see them as money grabbing and lazy. Polish people create alot of crime as well as destroying a once lovely country.

Why don t poles have more patriotism and help their own nation instead of destroying Ireland.

Why do polish boast about how they are diluting Irish identity?! It s nothing to be proud of.#I lived in Ireland and it is a wonderful country but unlike the poles... I LEFT

Why do chinese flood western countries, refuse to assimilate, speak only their own language and live amongst other chinese immigrants? Why do they destory national unity in their adoptive countries and dilute western identity? Why don't they have more patriotism and help their own nation instead of destroying western nations?

"The Polish minority in the Republic of Ireland numbers approximately 63,276 according to 2008 census figures,[1] making it the largest minority in the country excluding those born in the United Kingdom. However, the census that year is believed by the government to have underestimated the number of Polish nationals, whose numbers may be as high as 200,000.[2]"

I highly doubt it's that high.
