Deed Poll - do I need an attorney to sign it?

/I've changed my surname after marriage by Deed Poll. And I need a little sign on the Deed Poll document. Do I need to get it from the solicitor or just I need an ordinary person's sign??? I was calling around 200 times to polish consulate and no one was picking up the phone. They don't care that I really need to do it fast. /

/ Zmienilam nazwisko po slubie Deed Poll'em. No i potrzebuje malego podpisu na dokumencie, ktory otrzymalam.

Hi. State your problem clearly first. You changed your name by deed poll (no capitals necessary) . You are asking if you need an official confirmation to this? If so, then the answer is yes. Legal and official authorities may not recognise a deed poll as a valid document, therefore an official declaration should be made. This is not a "real" decument in these respects, although it may be accepted sometimes - it just depends where (be more specific).

Yes, you need to get it notarised by a solicitor.

eh......changed your surname through marriage or by deed poll? if it's after marriage then surely your marriage certificate is all you need to confirm your new name, if it's deed poll i've no idea we don't have deed poll in Scotland

Olaf that is incorrect, stop misleading people who want advice... If you have a pesel number all you need is to fill out a application stating you have changed your name stating the reasons why..this will be endorsed on your pesel... good luck

It does not have full legal powers though and this is what I wrote.
