I have concerns over the British immigration policy so I wrote to my MP.

I dont believe that the Polish are the most hated immagrants

They're just the most high profile because of their numbers. If the same numbers of non-EU citizens were coming in then this issue would be MUCH bigger and with outright hostility and probably violence.

how has the immigration effected you in a personal and negative way such that you see fit to complain about it. If the answer is it hasn't, then aren't your complaints disingenuous?

Not if you believe we live in a society with a culture rather than a multicultural society. Immigrants must be absorbed into a society not attached onto it like an extra appendage. I personally dont want Britain to become Balkanised.

Thanks for not calling me a w***er this time :-)

Finally, I urge PF members to be more rational (OMG, I sound like a politician).

BNP ? That is very wide of the mark ! I didn't see who posted that but whoever did is barking up the wrong tree for sure.

I have never and would never vote for the BNP. Their policies at their most basic turn my stomach.

It's not about trying to kick people out or anything like that. I just want an end to the UK being seen by the rest of the world as an international joke when it comes to their immigration and border controls.

I can't help but feel that that is how the UK is viewed.

That's a little bit old fashioned isn't it?

My question was directed to how has immigration effected you personally. I'm trying to get some real answers, rather than deflections.

No. Its multiculturalism thats old fashioned and has been proclaimed a failure even amongst many liberals. The American way of integration and assimilation is the way to go.

My question was directed to how has immigration effected you personally.

Something doesnt have to effect you directly and negatively for you have a right to be concerned about it. Quite the opposite as if something has basically effected you in a largely positive way and you are still concerned about its repurcussions then your motives are something other than selfish.

Wow - monoculturalism here in Aus was a dinosaur of the 50's and 60's - there was a brief resurgence in the late 1990's with the conservative right wing One Nation party, but it suffered the demise it deserved.

Something doesnt have to effect you directly and negatively for you have a right to be concerned about it.

I take your point, but my question wasn't focussed on the answer you gave. I was getting to the point that some people here have complaints and such strong feelings that the inference to be drawn is that they have suffered personally and negatively - I was curious if that was the case, or if they were just being disingenuous and jumping on the bandwagon.

No doubt some are. You only have to look at some of the other threads on here to see how people love a scapegoat, often a Jewish one.

The hourly rate for certain jobs is now lower and this has been something that I've come up against and it has effected the money I earn.

I had a reply from my MP.

She responded to my concerns over the levels of immigration by saying:

While the growing number of immigrants entering Britain is well reported, there are also an increasing number of British citizens moving overseas. The Office for National Statistics estimate that of those emigrating in 2006, 71,000 moved to EU countries, mainly France and Spain.

Basically enough of the British born population are moving to create room for immigrants. I guess that's her way of saying "if you don't like what's going on, you know where the door is."

I also raised concerns over entitlement to benefits and lack of the enforcing of registration of foreign cars. This she ignored and made no reference to at all.

I shall be writing back to point this out.

hhhhmmmm and what was that i was advised to do, write to my MP, well look what you get from it, nothing, in fact you get told to get out so they can make more room for more immigrants :)

I guess that pretty much sums it up.

While I wasn't expecting much from her reply, her wording in that paragraph did take the wind out of my sails.

At least I know where I stand.

Since that’s the case maybe admin should think about opening a sub forum for Brits disappointed with their countries immigration policy. Seems to be quite a popular topic on polishforums.

Ha ha. Perhaps you could also write a letter to your local MP Espana (on the influx of Brits) - the irony would be delicious.

I see from Mr H's posts a strong tinge of racism - why? Because it was reported back to him that the immigrants are filling the gaps created by the immigrating Brits. It's an equilibrium really.

yeah maybe but i don't think it would really be a good addition, if people want to write about it then they will, however if it replaces the singles section then i would be fully in support of it

racism

what a silly response, a person tries to formally make a point and is still no matter what accussed of being a racist, probably because he is white, which in a strange way could also be viewed as racist :)

I agree. There are non profit organizations usually called Immigration watch in different countries and this is where those people should address their issues.

given that this is polishforum.com, and that the polish have had a noticable and significant impact in britain over the past few years, it is more than appropriate that their influx into our country be discussed.

you see lukasz youre a pole which is why people dont give you the respect you so desperately want.

your country is a joke, your country's language is ridicularse and your country's food is fit for peasents, youre country's women arent bad, worth a fuk, but thats about it.

youre country is getting fukt over by foreign investors who realise that most poles havent got a clue when it comes to doing business in the real world. we,ve bought your houses for peanuts and then watched as your peoples' greed has priced the average pole out of the market.

youre a pole, you must surely know all about steroetypes... and that they didnt come from knowhere

youre a pole - which is why you are laughed at and treated with contempt.

you will always be a pole

That's a pretty crappy thing to say. I thought you were friends with the Polish. Aren't you a foreign investor?

english...

Ok I see we have finished part of our discussion about culture.

as to food

fried snickers bars :))

who realise that most poles havent got a clue when it comes to doing business in the real world.

Last time UK is the best example of successful investment strategies. :)

as to your investors :))) smashing majority of investors in this industry were Poles ... :) so :)

and you Brits will see when your wealth and strenght will disapear how many nations live in the past :) or maybe your citizens :) (I am not talking about Polish people)

your country is a joke

funny.

your country's language is ridicularse

it might be to you cuz you don`t understand it. plus what is ridiculARSE?

your country's food is fit for peasents

at least it DOES have a taste and a good one, which i wouldn`t necessary say about british food which usually is blunt.

youre country's women arent bad, worth a fuk, but thats about it.

i bet they wouldn`t lower themselves enough to fuk with you though.

youre country is getting fukt over by foreign investors who realise that most poles havent got a clue when it comes to doing business in the real world. we,ve bought your houses for peanuts and then watched as your peoples' greed has priced the average pole out of the market

you`re fuking up poland then don`t complain about poles fuking up britain.

youre a pole, you must surely know all about steroetypes... and that they didnt come from knowhere

every nation has its stereotypes, they surely don`t come from KNOWhere. british are no better or worse than polish, if you don`t understand that, it means that you`re just an arrogant prik

youre a pole - which is why you are laughed at and treated with contempt

and you are a brit - which is why you are laughed at but probably don`t even realise it cuz your big ego and pride won`t let you.

you will always be a pole

you will always be a brit, not a nice one though, an arrogant one which is why good people (british and not only) run away from you.

fisz my polish friends would hold the same contempt for lukasz as i hold for nonimi

he is a joke and an embarassment to his country.

if he wants to play silly buggers i am more than happy to teach him how to play.

you know i have invested heavily in poland - have firsthand experience of doing business there and watched as greed inflated the housing market beyond compare.

incubus

my toilet needs cleaning bicth get on your fukin knees and start scrubbing
