Heloo everyone; My wife Polish Citizen ID Card ( Dowod osobisty) STOLEN along with the Handbag @ SouthBank center, Westminister, London July 31st in the Brazilian concert.

how can she get another one without going to Poland and staying there for 2/3 months?

- Why you assume to wait so long for an ID issuing? It takes shorter time - 3-5 weeks. Anyway, just go to the Polish consulate/embassy and that'll be the end of the story. Didn't your wife knew this?

A friend of her did that in poland and it took 11 weeks in poland

do you think polish consulate will do it in london?

we been trying to call them but line always busy or no answer

Yes, but given the number of Poles in southern England, they are overstretched, so it will probably take a long time. If even half a percent of Polish citizens in the UK have a problem with documents, that's still thousands of cases yearly.

Best to go in person and make sure you have a crime number, or that will delay things further.

lost polish id card

Hi I have lost my bag which contained my polish id card. If Anyone can help if this has happened to them in the uk, I would like to know what procedure is required to get a new one- also do i need to worry about fraudulent use of the card--- who do i report this to.

She could renew it in Poland or renew it online. The embassy website (in Polish) should have info on this.

Interestingly, if she's living in the UK, there's no legal obligation for her to have an up-to-date Polish ID card, however as any Pole will tell you, she'll need it sooner or later if she's back there.
