Certificate of no impediment (to marry Polish fiancee in the UK)

Hello. I wish to Marry my Polish Financee in the UK. We have been told she needs a certificate of no impediment. Upon speaking to our local embassy, they deny all knowledge of such a certificate. Can some one please translate this into a Polish term? Does any one know if she need to get this from her home city?
