What is the cheap and best way to go from Wroclaw to Cologne?
Wroclaw to Cologne
cheap: would be by bus/coach
best: would be to find someone going by car and share the cost. (also cheap)
i don't know if there is a direct rail link.

I can't argue with that.
the cheapest train will cost about 150zl one way, but tickets at this price are limited. you have to book in advance

Yikes! I think she wants to arrive there safely in one piece, instead of scattered pieces...
for sure!
Without a car you should check buses vs trains:
buses: busy.info.pl/2,42777,46544,wroclaw,kolonia.html
the prices seems to be about 200 zł:
If I'm not mistaken it works more or less like with flights, the sooner you buy the better price you get.
As far as trains are concerned, there is couple of trains you can use. Before modernization there was office for international trains info on rail station, but now I don't know where to look for it. Maybe they move it into temporary terminal.

When do you want to go? I fly to Frankfurt once every two weeks and can give you a lift.
Mitfahrzentrale is a good way to catch a ride.

germanwings has a hub in colonge, if they have flights to wroclaw then it would not be expensive

How much does the fuel cost you, out of curiosity?
2,5 hours x 35lph is about 400zl plus landing fees. double that on the way back

Thanks :) I always wondered how much it actually cost to operate a light aircraft in terms of fuel.
(go on, I'll ask - why is it double on the way back?)
