Hello !!! like lots of people here I'm a big fan of Poland :). So far I have been to Warsaw, Lodz, Krakow, Wroclaw and Poznan. I'm planning a trip to Gdansk by the end of this month so maybe some locals can help me to organize my trip. I don't know if one week is too much time for Gdansk, maybe I can take some days to visit another place. What do you think?

Thanks for your advice !!!

Take a day and go to Hel. They have wonderful beaches there....

Sopot and Gdynia are there for your enjoyment as well.

I think you can take a train. It wasn't nice of me to tell you to go to hel, but I meant it! -)

There should be some boats sailing between Hel and Gdańsk several times a day...

You could spend a day (or half) in Malbork, there's a quite interesting castle...

do I need a train or just by car?

There are tremendous traffic jams every summer on this road.

Can you give an update when you get back as to what you thought of Gdańsk and what you did there?
I am going at the end of October and would be interested to know how your holiday went.
Have a good time!!

I've got 2 tickets for the Artloop festival in Sopot, to see Nouvelle Vague (a competition prize) but it looks like I have to be in Warsaw at that time (6/7.9). If anyone wants them, PM me.
