What's the best way to get from the Warsaw Central Station to the Old Town at 4pm on a weekday? If taxi is the best option, how much should this cost and would it be acceptable to negotiate the price with the driver beforehand?

If you don't have luggage, why not walk? If you do, jump in a cab. Shouldn't cost more than 25 PLN.

Actually, there are buses from the Old Town to Central Station. Bus 175 (and also 128) has a stop close to St Anne Church and will take you right to one of the Central Station gates in Al.Jerozolimskie in less than 15 minutes.

These are ok.

Warsaw is very easy to get around in. The bus stop you need is opposite the satation (walk through the subway to get there) outside the Marriott.

Personally, I'd get the tram until the palm tree, and almost any bus going north.

Or a taxi for a fiver or so if there's several of you.
