Warsaw's most beautiful disctrict or village

I was having a conversation about the most beautiful district or village within a 100 klm radius of Warsaw proper. My choice that ticked all the boxes is:

Podkowie Leśnej

podkowalesna.pl/

Any other candidates for the most beautiful district/village?

Podkowie Leśnej

I'm no great fan of the place but I can see why some people like it. For me, Góra Kalwaria and Serock (big villages really) are nice.

Góra Kalwaria and Serock

Don't really Know Góra Kalwaria, Serock is nice especially if you can find a place with a lake view.

Liw (with the castle) and Pniewnik are nice places - in fact there are a few nice villages along that same main road and all within 100km of Warsaw. They all have that 'eastern' feel that you don't get so much west of Warsaw.

Let me rephrase the question the most beutifull village accessible by train?

Almost a small town rather than a big village, if there's a difference, but Przasnysz in the far north of Mazowsze is well worth a visit. Czerwinsk is a much smaller place, and no station you you have to go by car or bus. Both Przasnysz and Czerwinsk-nad-Wisla are hidden gems.

Vive us your choice accessed by rail and road only.

It's a town rather than a village, but for me almost all the boxes are ticked by Ciechanow. The only thing it is missing is a decent hotel (but I've been told about a newish one which looks worth checking out).

Góra Kalwaria

Not a bad little place, but you might as well just carry on going and get to Czersk. Now that really does tick all the boxes: excellent views, charming little village, nice castle, wonderful restaurant.

wonderful restaurant.

I like Czersk but haven't been to the restaurant - we usually used to continue over the bridge and eat round Otwock - also an interesting place but not picturesque.

a) Can you recommend any places to eat?
b) Been to the owl sanctuary in Otwock?

But of course.

The Castle of Mazovian Dukes.

And reputedly so boring that the river ran from it.

Have any of you guys been to the area around Dobre on the 637? There are some nice places around there.

It's lovely round there - next to Pniewnik from post #4.

Another nice place is completely in the opposite direction, Nowe Miasto nad Pilica:

Podkowa Leśna (Poland) is absolutely beautiful! I would also recommend Ciechanów.

And if you're looking for info in English about things worth seeing in Warsaw itself, you might want to check: facebook.com/warsaw

(EURO 2012, cultural events etc.)

Has anybody heard of a village called Pamoron or some similar spelling?

I know Pomerania, but it's entire, big region in Poland, not a village.. There is also a town called Poronin.
