Hello,
I am an American traveling to Warsaw and Krakow in September, 2011. My trip is mostly just touring, but I want to possibly make contact with distant relatives in the small village of Bozecin, NW of Sandomierz (in SW Poland). I know nothing about the geography but anyone knowing the area may be able to help me with some decisions. First, this village appears small. Is there train transportation from Warsaw or must I rent a car? Second, will citizens in the area speak English? I speak only English, some Italian, and less German. (I guess my Japanese won't help ;-) )
I think my grandfather was born here, but my info only says "Bozencin Galicia Austria" so I'm trying to sort it out. This vacation might give me a chance to get correct information and maybe make contact with lost family.
Any ideas appreciated. I plan to use trains to get from Warsaw to Krakow and then on the Bratislava and finally Milano.
Ciao,
Emi
