Hi would like some advice. I am going to Poland for 6 weeks from July to the end of August. I was woundering,do I need a visa to go to Poland? what documents do I need and is a passport enough? what to show to immagration at the airport in Warsaw? Thanks
Do I need a visa to visit Poland for 6 weeks?
I can only tell you that when we went to Poland back in Oct.2003, we didn't need any visa.
Assuming you are American you get a 90 day tourist stamp at the border. Only need valid passport.
a 90 day tourist stamp at the border
it's funny but we didn't even get that. They just looked at the passports and let us go.
When coming from outside the EU? Weird. There would be no way to prove how long you had been in Schengen without it. But I didn't get stamps on the train often in the old days when you had to cross eveery 3 months. Who knows.

no, like I said we lived in Germany to that time.
Ah ok....that would make sense as there are no stamps within the "border" of Schengen. But I can see it causing you a problem when trying to get out as you can't prove how long you had been there unless you had a residence card or something else for DE.
Guess I should have been clear and said you get the 90 day stamp at the first border your cross entering Schengen. If you are flying direct to Warsaw it would be there.

even better, my dad's mom is from Germany. :-)
I don't think you can carry a grandma across as proof of residence ;) Her head wouldn't fit in the document scanner :P

I can, lol Since my grandpa passed away back in 1986, she's back to Germany and lives in Bremen.
When I first glanced at the post I thought it said GRANDMA passed away and imagined you carrying her ashes across. I felt bad for a second ;)
I was woundering,do I need a visa to go to Poland?
You do need a visa if you are Polish. :)
What?
LOL
Yeah that clears it up. Feels like I am text messaging with a 10yo.
Hi guys. I booked my ticket today will be flying and stopping in Amsterdam first then to Warsaw. they said I only needed my passport if I was staying 90 or under 90 days. passport and ID I have.

I wonder if you'll be excited to come back like I was after staying in Poland for a while :-). Then again I believe, the circumstances are different.
MMM I will always be happy to come no matter where I go.
I was in the UK 6 years ago today and was happy to come back home, but its always nice to travel.

Ask in embassy. But it seems that Malaysian embassy is responsible for Philippine.
