master shake 1 | 7 11 Aug 2010 / #1I need a new phone. I know that most electronics are cheaper in the US and my parents are coming to visit next month. Will an unlocked phone bought in the US work in Poland and accept an Orange Polish SIM card? Or is there a regional block on the phones? or maybe the technology is different?Thanks!-Shake

I have Chinese, Philippine, Korean, Australian, etc. sim cards and change them when in need. Don't do it often as skype on my regular iphone works pretty well at most places and almost every cafe, etc has free wi-fi. However, i use it when in need, also it helps for "local" friends to get ahold of me, for example i had a Thailand layover and a buddy of mine who owns a motorcycle shop and lives there could call me for free. iPhone uses the standard GSM technology. There are many prepaid sim cards all over the net...mrsimcard.com/iphone.html
