I wonder if anyone would direct me to the official site where I can see the timetable of international trains for and from Poland. I need to know when I have the return train from Warsaw to Belgrade (actually, I'd have to make a change in Budapest or Hegyeshalom), and to kinow the exact timings for it.
Thank you, but these sites don't help me much, because they all transfer me to travel via Vienna, and I don't want to do that, because of visa. Isn't there a straight train line from Budapest to Warsaw via Slovakia, not via Austria?
Actually, I found this website - elvira.hu - it's seems official enough, and it shows me just the results I want to see :) , that why I Love it!
Jokes aside, according to that site, there is a way to travel Belgrade-Warsaw via Hungary and Slovakia. I would have to make only one change of trains, in Budapest or Hegyeshalom. That collides with what I was told by a clark of the Belgrade train station.
Hi Baki i traveled from Katowice to Belgrad in november 2005 :) and go back exactly the same way if you told me that you need that connection i will give you all advice from Belgrad you can travel with only one chnge in Budapest but you ma\must wait long time ( 9 hour) i trveled by this way
from Belgrad to Budapest Budapest-Bratislava (train is 30 minut after you arrive budapest) train to Dortmund than 1 hour wait for train Bratislava-Zilina and 1 hour wait for train Zilina-Katowice you will be at Katowice 9 hour befor train come from Budpest and Katowice-Warsaw are many trains :)
Thank you for info, but according to this timetable, I won't have to wait 9 hours for the next train. The train sets off from Belgrade at 07:52, arrives to Budapest Keleti at 15:33, and the train to Warsaw departs shortly after, at 16:45. That seems the least complicated way to me. :)
hi! i'm in warsaw right now and i am planning a trip to prague and bratislava but i cant seem to find a train that will take me to bratislava from warsaw or from bratislava to warsaw please help me y need this becose i plan to travel the 13 of july soy it is urgent thanx~
he is travelling by plane to krakow and is wondering is it ideal to tavel from krakow to bardejov by train, and how much approxiamitely and if any one knows any sites of train time tables etc i could visit, it would be great..ive tried evrything on the net and not having much luck....many thanks!!!
I think it wouldn't be easy becouse the trains are cossing moutains only near Czech Rep. and then far to the east near Ukrainian border.
So the option is to change trains at Zlina or sth... The estimated travel times from pkp.pl page are about 14 hours... And it is 200 km...
So I think that a much better oportunity will be to travel by train from Kraków to Muszyna (town at the Slovak border - 40 km from Bardejov) and then take an bus from Muszyna to Bardejov or even a taxi to Stara Lubovla from where you sholdn't have a problem with finding a train/bus to Bardejov...
The thing is that borders are still dividing the comunication systems here and sometimes it will be easier to fly to Bratislava if your destination is Bardejov even thought it is twice as far as Krakow.
