Very nice town, seems really mellow. I was up on that roof of that big observation tower.

I took a pic of this train coz I never seen one this old before. It looks like its from WWII or an old commie train. lol

Nope, it isn`t. It is an Austrian tram produced in 1970s, Polish companies bought a few dozen. pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/SGP/Lohner_E1

Your photo was taken in Dietla Street in Krakow close to Wawel Castle.

A really communist tram looks like that. Where is it used as a tourist attraction?

Judging by the colors.... Wrocław? (I seem to recall blue trams there) unlike the red used in Warsaw or Green in Poznań Can't remember what color they were in Kraków/

Yes, a lot of his paintings bear a nude female motif. Hint - he was from Krakow.

Interesting, I quite like him. Quite hard to pin him down to a particular style to be honest. Some of his work looks surrealistic, some almost cartoonish for example.Looking at some of his pictures, he appears to have been influenced by Klimt and Magritte, amongst others. He most definitely appreciated the female form ;)


Olga Boznańska - Girl with Chrysanthemums.

Yes, cartoonish, too. I saw his paintings as a young boy and have remained fascinated since then because I have always loved comic books. :)

I think I'm way off base with this one as I think the timescale is wrong, but is the figure pointing meant to be Saint Stanislaus, the martyred Bishop of Kraków? And the guy with the crown Bolesław II?

I seen a lot of art in Poland as well. Even the frames on these pictures are fine works of art.

The problem is that too many people are lazy and don`t want to train their minds, looking for clues and eventually guessing. They mostly prefer to deal with sth they have seen, visited, experienced because it is the easiest. Yes, it is sad, but we can`t help it.


Looks like WW2 soldier accompanied by a few mates, plus the shadow of a bomber plane on the ground, but never saw it. I need time.
