Yes, a Polish mosque. Can you be more specific about the location?

Excellent! Well worth a visit too!

Wasn't it somewhere like Rzeszów or Przemyśl? Probably Rzeszów.

Not sure who the statue's of though, but the face is a bit like the bust of Kościuszko in the klatka schodowa where I live. What was he protesting about?

but the face is a bit like the bust of Kościuszko in the klatka schodowa where I live.

Point for you.

Where's this?

Mountain of St Anna, the place of heavy fighting between Germans and Poles during 3rd Silesian Uprising in 1921.

I meant the nude, not the good general.

Aaahh...... :):)

That nude was probably British and he didn`t protest at all. :):):) Just had fun in a typical British style. :):):)

Point for me again.

Where's this, and why is it that shape?

Wow, good one, I start googling right now....

Palace in Dobrzyca, unusual shape symbolizes free masons` ideas.

It is Dobrycza.

The reason you gave, Pawian, is almost right. It is in the shape of a węgielnica, since the owner and architect were very keen Freemasons. It's now a museum and worth visiting.

Dobrzyca

Good, but I was first. Sorry. :):):)

Which city is it?

Warsaw. The circular square (sounds odd in English, doesn't it?) is plac Zbawicela. At the left of the picture is the marszałkowska dzielnica mieszkaniowa, based on several Polish architects' love of Parisian town planning.

There's the 'squared circle' in boxing and professional wrestling, so not that strange :)

Best to wait a bit and give someone a chance. One clue though,is that it was built by a King, loved by his people, but hated by his rivals and today, not buried in Wawel. Famous for his German lover.

Katerina of Anhalt-Zerbst, as she was born. Her lover was very short but apparently a hit with the ladies. He also tried to introduce lamb to Poland without much success. You may as well have a go ;-)
