Indeed. Thinking about it: in this dreary PRL days the Polish humour seemed to be more refined, classy so to speak. Here is another one with my attempt to translate this abstractly nonsensical but delicious original.

I doubt the church got involved, you should realize that often the people incite such enterprise and clergy ie a priest is only helping to some degree.

They were involved unfortunately - it was on church property and some of the other photos show priests blessing it. Those photos are currently doing the rounds on Facebook etc.
