1. This ship is in the centre of Krakow. How?

Looks like Błonia, perhaps it was brought by truck or assembled on site? Marking an aneversiery of the royal ship that used to go to the capital via the Wisła?

(just a complete guess)

2.

Do you put the cheese in the middle, eehhh just for eh fun?

3. What is the old man doing?

He is looking for his marbles?.
He is trying to find water under the ground with sticks?.(probably not, he only has one stick)
Perhaps he is looking for a snail or something that is found under leaves?
He is collecting rubbish?

Your guess is quite correct. It was the ship made of beer aluminum cans for the annual Recycling Festival in Krakow.

No cheese. I make a face and all creatures run for cover :):):)

What is the old man doing?

:):):) Actually, he is removing leaves and stuff from the vicinity of the bench where he is going to sit and relax, admiring the views around.

To Częstochowa which is not bloody but a place respected by most Poles, even non-believers.

Let's not get over-excited.

This is a photo thread, nothing serious just whatever you like to show us.

The last one is a photo I took 2 seconds ago, it is the view here in Poland.

I used to live in Krakow for 2 years and I would go to work each day and everyday I would see something new.
Some new sculpting or design on a blackened building. Some figure above a window, it is more beautiful than I can show but I will try.

I have found a load of these photos and I will share them now.
Some are crap photos but you will get the picture (all puns intended).
I love the "Dong Do" Chinese places here.
Or the lads holding up the building.

more of Krakow.
The first two sculpting are close ups of the building in the next photo.
Doh, it is the same photo twice of the sculpting, my bad

You will have to excuse the poor quility of the photos, I never did intend to use them for anything but I see now that it might give people an idea of the grandeur of Krakow.

According to a popular 20th century legend, during one of the Mongol invasion of Poland (usually the invasion of 1241), Tatar warriors approached the city. A guard on the Mariacki church tower sounded the alarm by playing the Heynal, and the city gates were closed before the Tatars could take the city by surprise. The bugler, however, was shot in the throat and did not complete the tune. According to the legend, that is why it now ends abruptly before completion.
