Looks a bit like Olsztyn.

It isn`t Olsztyn but belongs to that group.

Chęciny!

I visited once and liked it, though Ogrodzeniec is maybe my favourite around there.

Ziem, someone might accuse you of being obscene... :)

I visited once and liked it,

Yes, Chęciny. I think I visited this place 3 times. From 13th century, a ruin since 1707. Very charming and wonderful views.

What was the situation in a big city?

I was going to ask "And does it rhyme with 'mój'?" But good taste got the better of me.... for a while until you wrote that...

What was the situation in a big city?

Well there looks to be an exchange of money going on, but without a bit more help, I have no idea.......

As a hint, I could show you another photo at a different angle, but I don`t want to litter without strong necessity so let me only tell you the young man in the green T-shirt was carrying the Union Jack.

In the meantime: why?

young man in the green T-shirt was carrying the Union Jack.

He's selling British-based products at some venue/park?

why?

Not sure. It's spring time as there are daffodils, and that wood creation looks to be a boar standing on a frozen pond/lake. Some type of spring tradition?

He's selling British-based products at some venue/park?

Yes, he`s just finished selling sth, but it wasn`t a material thing. And it wasn`t a park but the area near Wawel Castle.

As for the boar, it isn`t wooden, but that doesn`t matter.

Spring time tradition - sort of. Can you develop this topic a little more?

it wasn`t a park but the area near Wawel Castle.

Is that significant? Was he selling tickets for something?

Can you develop this topic a little more?

Ok, I didn't notice the date before, which in 2017 would have been Good Friday.
I think it is a reconstruction of Christ's tomb. Is the boar standing vigil over the tomb?
Wood was the wrong word for the boar, I meant it appears to be fashioned out of twigs or similar, though not important.

Is that significant? Was he selling tickets for something?

Yes, Wawel Castle and generally the Old Town are a big hint.

No, not tickets, I said he sold sth immaterial/inpalpable, tickets are material to me.

I think it is a reconstruction of Christ's tomb. Is the boar standing vigil over the tomb?

That`s a great joke. :):) Thank you.

No, boars don`t guard tomb replicas in Poland. :):)

But you guessed correctly the date so I think you should get a point - it is just an Easter decoration - Poles love to eat a lot of traditional pork dishes and sausage during it.

What is this old timer?

big hint.

What I thought of before but didn't mention was that he might be doing free walking tours of Warsaw, but ruled it out because of the money exchange bit. Then I remembered that people obviously give tips.........so that's my guess, or he's a tour guide.

That`s a great joke. :):)

Hej!! You mock me at your peril ;) Well, there is a cross on whatever the boar is standing on, so given the date it's not that far a jump to think of a reconstruction. Plus, given that the boar is centre stage, it is logical to think that there is some significance as to why it's there.

The car. Is it a prototype? I've ruled out all obvious Polish cars.

I just hope you're not a regular undercover here because that would be really pathetic.
In this particular thread you can learn about different places to visit in Poland.

he's a tour guide

Yes! A free lance tour guide. They wait for clients in the Market Square, holding the flag of the country whose language they speak. The young guy in my photo must have been a good one - knowledgable but also funny -coz I saw tourists were quite generous. :)

I've ruled out all obvious Polish cars.

Exactly. But I can say it comes from the country which has had traditional ties with Poland in case of car industry/,manufacturing etc.

PS. I thought a male would try to answer this one but again, females must do the job. As usual. What would we do without those wonderful brilliant women? The world would be lost. Males, shame on you.

I see this forum is basically a message board with childish riddles just to occupy space.

Yes, exactly, How did you know?

Is there any useful information about Poland here?

No,hardly any. We have been waiting for a genius like you to come and enlighten us. Especially that

Ive been to Poland many times,

so you must be like a native. I can`t wait to hear all those stories of yours.

You can start, we are all ears.

hahaha

I almost asked you if the car was, in actual fact, from Poland, but I thought you would play fair.......I was wrong!!!!!!
My guess is that it is a Fiat 850 Coupe Series I.
As for the males guessing the car one, I don't think many bother with this thread :( Maybe the high school riddles are too difficult ;)

If nothing else, at least I am keeping the idiom and riddles threads alive and on the front page :)

What is wrong in the pic?

Not sure yet. The couple with the dog seem to be looking at the building. I think the guy toward the back near the other dog, is taking a photo, so something is going on with the building or someone in it?

I was fair! :):)

1. The car is owned by a Polish owner now.
2. FIAT has been the Polish partner in car manufacturing since 1930s.

My guess is that it is a Fiat 850 Coupe Series I.

Yes, like a glove!

Maybe the high school riddles are too difficult

It seems so. Plus males are lazy and prefer women do difficult tasks. I can see it in class every day during the school year. But they still dream about male superiority...... hahaha

Never mind.

something is going on with the building or someone in it?

Nope. Sth else IS HAPPENING which is wrong.

Hint: this is Planty Park near Wawel Castle.

Those dogs shouldn't be in the park because pets are banned from there, or is it something more obscure?

What is this fish?

Needlefish?

Yes, needlefish. Not bad, though a bit dry. Did you know it has a green spine and bones?

Those dogs shouldn't be in the park because pets are banned from there, or is it something more obscure?

You are a little close with "banned". A little. No, it is nothing obscure, we can clearly see sth really wrong is happening.

Hint: it is connected with the word "green." :):)

Looks like ingredients to make Mexican bean salad or similar.

They are treading on the grass in Planty Park which was illegal at the time and there were those little notices everywhere. I am not sure about now.

Yes, Mexican. Once we talked about spicy cuisine in another thread.

Why queuing?

Do you know, I almost wrote are people not supposed to walk on the grass, but I thought I was being ridiculous and you wouldn't stop laughing, as after all, it is a park!

Why queuing?

I'll have a think. I dare say it isn't because there's a special offer on a certain type of cake, doughnut.................and it isn't Pączki day either.

Yes, it is a sort of park but not a regular one.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planty_Park

It started as a place open for the public in 1822. Earlier than Regent`s Park and other in London. :)

Yes, it is Fat Thursday. :)
