Ideas on what to do in the vicinity of Paslek, Poland this Christmas

I'll be in Paslek this December to spend the holidays with the family. I've searched this forum as well as Trip Advisor, but could not find anything useful. The tri-city area will be on my list of places to visit, but I'm looking for additional ideas. The family was suggesting a trip to Zakopane, but I'm not a big fan of driving 10+ hours south for just a few days of skiing. I'm not sure if there are closer ski areas, but if there are, then that would be a possible option.

Anyway, if anyone has tips, I would greatly appreciate it. I want to be proactive with planning this time because the last time I was in the area, I pretty much just stayed in the house. Dziekuje!

Happy to help, but will need to be tomorrow when I'm on a real computer, ok?

One question, will you have a car?

We don't have a lot of hills here. This is land of lakes ;)

You can check

Thanks! Very awesome. It's not Zakopane, but I'll take a little bit of skiing. Do you have any activities on the lakes? How about Christmas markets?

Requesting some ideas on what to do in the vicinity of Paslek this Christmas

You could join a local troupe of nativity play actors and perform for village people.

It is a popular diversion in Pasłęk.

Thanks.. However, my caroling voice can probably scare the dogs away. I think I will just resort to drinking warm beer with herbs and eating some "smaletz". :)

I actually wanted to try some bear meat. I was told that buying bear meat is difficult. Are there bears in the area? Are there hunting organizations that organize guided hunts? I don't have a hunting license.
