Holidays next month - suggestions for which part of Poland to visit

Well, my university is giving a 10 day vacation between the summer and winter sem. Could someone suggest which part of poland to visit!? (I've already been to sklarska poremba and krakow and i live in warsaw).

Depends on what you want to do. It's rather cold for outdoor activities.

Maybe skiing in (or just enjoy) the Polish mountains. Many cozy places there.

Or wait until it gets warmer.

I can tell it will be difficult if you don't like to ski. You can go and see the mountains but you have to be prepared. Without good shoes it could be dangerous. And it's freezing out there. You can go seaside, to breathe some iodine :) but guess what ? It's freezing out there :)

I will add that Zakopane has many Polish tourists this time of year.

Where to spend 3 weeks with family, to see normal people, tradition, culture, try polish cuisine and relax ???

Krakow, IMO, is a must stop, maybe not for 3 weeks but for part of the trip. I went to Wroclaw as well, but I was only in Poland for a little over a week. I enjoyed both cities. I spent half time in both places, with a stop in Radomsko in between. I enjoyed every minute, and want to go back.

Zakopane has its own architecture, culture and cuisine, plus walking, mountain sports ... and lost of tourists plus v busy at weekends.
Seriously, though, do your research and you'll find many places to fit the bill. I love southern Malopolska - I love it enough to have moved here from London. History, Krakow, lakes and mountains, good food and good people. You could easily spend three weeks down here - or in many other parts of the country - while basing yourselves in a self-catering place or a cheap hotel/bnb

It really depends on what you enjoy. If you like sailing, swimming and a more relaxed outdoor time then Mazury (lakes district) would be fantastic. If your thing is hiking and mountain views then the Tatry/Pieniny are in the south would be a good bet and your are close enough to Krakow to add them in. Or maybe sitting on the beach, lazy time fun in the sun, then look to the Baltic coast...however, the water is cold, the weather is iffy and it is kind of pricey. But there are some lovely areas. I did not add in cities because I don't feel a city really gives you a real look at the people, culture or what is in worth while in a country.

Where are you coming from? Do you speak any Polish? Is driving an option to be able to see more or you want to stay in one place?

There is not much to do in Krutyń for three weeks unless you enjoy kayaking.

The Beskidy Slaskie are worth a visit and plenty of low cost places to stay around Wisla and Ustron. A big plus is that there's a lot to see and do within easy reach.

Yep, I'd second that. You can also make a day trip to a rather strange divided town - Cieszyn/Cesky Tesin. The Polish side is very normal, but the Czech side is....not.
