Not that I know of. At least not in Warsaw.....
There used to be a nice Ethiopian place on ul. Dobra, but last time I went past it looked shut. There are one or two African restaurants though.
There's cafe Baobab on ul. Francuska in Saska Kempa, which I think is West African. There's also an African shop in Polna Market.

In rough terms, what is Ethiopian cookery all about?
I think they cook insects from the desert.
I was seeking bona fide information, not such dubious wit!

I had 2 Ethiopian dishes and both were spicy as hell.

It's similar to the cuisine of neighbouring Sudan. But a little spicier. A lot of lamb stews, flatbreads, beans, cakes with honey and very, very good coffee. Excellent fruit juices too, like hibiscus and baobab.
Re spiciness, how would Ethiopian comapre with Thai cookery?
I only had an Ethiopian dish once in my life - it was pretty simple rice dish with some meat but very tasty (guess this was the herbs and spices) - and yes it was a bit spicy but they have served chilli peppers seperately - and the chillis were oooouch :) (I have eaten one whole green thing - had a running nose for a while then)

I went to an Ethiopian or similar restaurant once. I doubted, meanwhile, that many Ethiopians (Kuszim) would come where many Jews were (and still are, though more in the cities now)--Jews and Ethiopians have had a contentious history.

Infact I know a Polish undercover cop who is ethopian in warsaw.

It's pretty hard to compare because it's a completely different style of spiciness. Different chillis, different spices and a different effect on the mouth. Best just to try and find somewhere that sells it and give it a try.

There is an African restaurant on Ulica Andersa close to the junction with Anielewicza in Muranow. The owner is from Nigeria and used to be a football player with Polonia. The food is very good, but I don't know how similar it is to Ethiopian food. Heres the website: lamama.eu
