EU Driving Licence - valid for only six months in Poland?

Hi, new thread.

Can I ask for clarification. On one website 'Just Landed', it states: 'Driver's licences issued by other EU member states are recognized in Poland and remain valid until the expiry date indicated on the document'.

However, on the British School's excellent guide "Essentials', it states that an EU Licence is only valid for six months to be followed by a medical and written test, 'in Polish'.

Which is correct please?

It is valid until it expires. In the past it was only valid for six month. Anyway, if you do meet anybody who claims that your UK licence is only valid for six months, these days you can just say you were in the Czech Republic (or Germany or anywhere else you might drive to) a few months ago and so you haven't been in Poland for six months.

The polish license I got never expires:)) but my us license they took which expired after 1 year so they first issued me apolish license with the date till my us license expired but after a medical test I was issued a license that never expires:) I came back to the states paid 5 bucks and got a new license to drive in the states.
