I just got into Warsaw today and noticed signs up in the Old Town about the Horror House. The website looks pretty awesome and it only costs 25 zloty for a single person not in a group.

Would anyone else be interested in going tomorrow? horrorhouse.pl

the Horror House.

Sounds a bit of a gimmick, like those 'escape rooms' or 'torture museums'.

No, these places are great!!

We have them all over the USA a few weeks before Halloween every year, but we call them Haunted Houses.

I didn't think they have them in Poland because I took my wife to one last year and she didn't have a clue to what was about to happen...hahaha!

I think they are a blast!

Warning! If you have a bad heart or scare easily don't do it.

Come on. No one living in Warsaw interested going today? The prices are so low the admission is basically free.

The YT clip looks like those far out Brazilian scary pranks. Looks like you're going all on your own. That would make it even scarier, so you really get your money's worth. Have fun.

So it's something like a ghost train? The old ones are the best.

For me, a 'Horror House' has Urzad Skarbowy written on the front.

Urzad Skarbowy

In my local town the tax office used to be a hotel which was the German HQ when they occupied the town between 1941 and 1944. Plus ca change...

A friend of mine lives in a house where several partisans were killed by the Gestapo. :S
Actually, in Warsaw there are lots of places where people were killed. Just like in many other places in Poland but the capital city witnesssed some horror for sure.

There was heavy fighting in my district, even now people find things when digging.

Those who buried the dead must have been killed later and weren't able to tell anyone about the graves.

What about the people who killed the people who killed the original ones?

Wouldn't they need to be killed too?

Remember it was chaos then, people fleeing homes, body parts, bits of uniform, improvised burials, often by troops that moved on, got killed and were far from local. Now it's usually just bones that people find.

My downstairs neighbour is a registered skull keeper (this exists), she has several from the wartime. She's a doctor.

Well, some of them were killed for sure. But that was not an equal fight.
Apart from other war losses, about 200,000 people were killed in two months of the Warsaw Uprising. With about 85% of the city destroyed a lot of bodies were buried under the debris.

Horror House

Never heard of this place and not really my cup of tea, but it has some very good tripadvisor reviews. Let us know if it was really scary.....

It looks like you have to show up in a group of 2 or larger. I won't be able to bring my wife and 3-year-old son.

You could head down to Pijalnia and see if you can talk Polish Ultra into it

Those escape rooms r kind of lame imo. My aunt talked us into going to one.

I've seen the ads for Statesville never been there but i wouldn't mind checking it out.
