Hello!

I'm travelling around Europe and I had wonderful 5 days stay in Warsaw!

I'd like to go now to Vienna, I did checked the prices for air flights and they are way out of my budget (like $1000) per ticket

I have to go tomorrow (09.09.2013), maybe anyone familiar with a such route and the best way I can do it ?

Please suggest!

Thanks in advance!

Try here: momondo.co.uk
Cheapest is $254

Or here: rozklad-pkp.pl
Much cheaper. They don't give prices, but certainly under $100

Around 39 Euro for a sitting place, I believe?

Another option could be Polski Bus to Bratislava and then a short hop to Vienna on a very frequent train service.

Thank you for your suggestions!

I have booked a ticket for bus! (170 PLN) Wasrsaw - Vienna

But I can't really figure out the departure place, in the confirmation email its says "Warszawa Dw. PKS W-wa Zach. stan. 10, 11"

I would call their office to clear this out but they are closed today (Sunday)

Can anyone from warsaw please tell me what's the street ? (So I can place the location in my iphone to find it)

Thank you very much for your help!

Try putting in "Dworzec Warszawa Zachodnia" - the train station Warszawa Zachodnia is next to the PKS station.

If you're in central Warsaw, just jump on a "WKD" train two stops from Warszawa Srodmiescie to Warszawa Zachodnia. The Srodmiescie station is right in the centre of Warsaw :)

Or pretty well any westbound train from the main station. Many end there. Also a 517 bus from opposite the Hotel Polonia. Should be cheap in a cab too.

Thank you for your help, I think I found it , it's shows near Aleje Jerozolimskie street (can anyone please confirm ? )

I'm on Krochmalna 32 street, and will try to search for bus/tram... (through if anybody is familiar with the location , the suggestion of bus number and location I should take will be highly appreciated)

p.s Warsaw rocks! :)

It's easy - get the tram to Dw centralny, and then the bus (see above) from the front (not the bus station bit at the back) to Dz Zachodni. Allow 45 mins plus, better an hour.

Thanks a lot, I managed to grab a taxi, which was pretty cheap 26 zloty.

I continued my travel to Austria, Germany and Switzerland and now got back to Israel recently.

I really liked my trip around the Europe, however for some reason Poland took a special place in my hearth (I was in Warsaw this time, through in 2009 I have visited Krakow)

Since my thoughts of immigration sit inside of me for a past few years, I'm getting convinced Poland would be the place to settle on, well that's another topic I guess

When you do, don't forget to bring the sunshine here with you, which we so often lack in our rather lengthy winter season!

Hehe, yeah Israel is a sunny place... through we always want something we don't have... I miss four seasons per year, miss the snow pretty much...

P.S Couldn't find any topics on the board above people who immigrated from Israel to Poland... through not sure they would be so helpful as each case is unique... hmmm :)

I had the same impression when living in Greece for one year. Now I miss Greek weather. Not many people emigrate to Poland, because for not EU citizens it's usually the same hard to get working Visa for Poland as for Germany and because of lower unemployment there and more advance economy it's easier to find a job with only English language knowledge in western Europe than in Poland. Not to mention low salaries.

Recently foreigners started coming work in Poland, because of recent outsourcing boom and extreme level of unemployment in southern Europe. But the number is small and they are mostly EU citizens.

Polish press wrote that in last years many Israeli started claiming Polish passport through ancestors (thousands each year). But they use it rather to work in the west or just for easier travel possibilities than for working in Poland.

I've also read that Poland is presented unfavorable to Israelis, so when combining that with lower salaries it's not strange that people don't immigrate here.

ah I see your point... guess last years were hard for the middle class of most countries around the globe.

Being 30 years old and living with my girlfriend and we are going to have a baby in the closest time, that's the main reason I'd like to find another home for us

I want a safety for my family.. It's really stressing living in a place which gets bombed frequently and since the upcoming newborn my worries doubled at least.

I'm also missing the nature, and year seasons.

Israel is pretty advanced country but it's still a Middle East, which goes packed with the middle east culture and people, however, and I do prefer European culture

I'm profiting from online income which is around 3000 usd monthly, therefore I would have some advance moving to a new place

I'm also having a knowledge in to IT field and constantly working as entrepreneur to improve my financial status and saving up for immigration process

From what I have seen so far, I would probably consider Canada or some country in Europe through there is still lots of research has to be done

So I'm spending my evenings browsing Europeans forums trying to grab as much information as I can...

I know that no one promised me anything at new place , and could be possibly I would regret the possible upcoming immigration at some point , however I know for me that I got to try it as if I won't, I would regret it for the rest of the life

P.S If anyone were in my shoes recently , would like them to point me to their story or just hear some suggestion from above people.
