Cheap travel to Lodz (coming from Belgium)

Hi everyone :)
My boyfriend's going to Lodz for an exchange in January. I hope I can join him there a few times.
So, I'd like to know if somebody could tell me which is the best way and the cheapest way to go from Belgium to Lodz.

Actually, is there an airport in Lodz? I saw on google there was an airport in Lodz but I haven't find any flight in this direction.

If it is the case, which company do you recommend me?
Please let me know, I'd like to book my flights as soon as possible!

Thanks in advance,

Ellen

Your only option for flights is either via the UK or via Copenhagen - Lodz Airport is not very well served!
Look for trains or coaches

You can fly to Warsaw and take train Warsaw - Lodz. It's quite close.

Lodz is only an hour by car fro Warsaw airport, Modlin is slightly further.

I have driven Lodz - Belgium in a single day on a few occasions (about 10 hours), might be a better option. Motorway the entire way and only tolls in Poland.

If it is supposed to be cheap - maybe somehow to Berlin and then PolskiBus.

Or train from Berlin (BWE - afaik they recently reduced prices or they are going to do so), but then you would have to get off in Kutno and then take a bus or train to £ódź. Possible only during the day.

But getting to Berlin might be still expensive.
