Bus from Mrągowo to Gierloz (Wolf's Lair)

So I'm using the website for intercity bus travel that someone recommended in a different post ( en.e-podroznik.pl ). For the Mrągowo departure station, it gives me two different options and bus operators:

Mrągowo D.A. (PKS "Polonus" w Warszawie S.A) or Mrągowo ul.Curie-Skłodowskiej (ExpressBus Transport Osobowy)

Each connection has a layover in Ketrzyn.

We're staying in the Mrągowo Mercure Hotel. Is there any difference between these two stations/operators in terms of convenience? Are the bus tickets bought directly from the driver or in a machine at the station? (I'd prefer not to book online in advance due to the uncertain schedule.) Also, would the full fare be charged for a 3-year old child?

You'll need to take a taxi either way and this place (the bus station): Mrągowo D.A, is the easiest place to get one.


Depends. No machine, but if there's a ticket office in the bus station, buy them there, or otherwise buy from the driver. Try to have the correct change or something near it (i.e. no 100zl or 200zl banknotes).
