aggieclint 4 | 9 20 Aug 2014 / #1I am going to Vilnius next week from Gdansk, but I am finding almost nothing transportation-wise, other than taking a bus at night (which I am guessing does not have beds). Other than driving myself, is there reasonable option that someone knows about? Thanks.
Monitor 13 | 1810 20 Aug 2014 / #2Bus/train to Warsaw (polskibus.com the cheapest) and Warsaw - Vilnus bus (there are few cheap companies). Or find somebody going there through blablacar.pl or carpooling.plWhen looking at the map Gdańsk - Kaliningrad and Kaliningrad - Vilnus should be fast, but you need Russian Visa for that. Gdańsk - Białystok and Białystok - Vilnus could be an option too.Gdańsk - Klapieda with a Ferry and Klaipeda - Vilnus, but that cannot be cheap
Monitor 13 | 1810 20 Aug 2014 / #4I thought so, but there isn't. AirBaltic flies Gdańsk - Riga, but charges min. 160eur, when booked over month in advance.
Jardinero 1 | 383 20 Aug 2014 / #5Not the easiest of routes; perhaps PKS to Suwałki pkssuwalki.pl/0,1,848.html?locale=pl_PL, spend the night there, and and there should be daily connections from Suwałki to Wilno - can't find it at the moment. Other than that I suggest going via Warsaw.
Monitor 13 | 1810 20 Aug 2014 / #6You're right. There are 3 connection per day Suwałki - Wilno. 50 - 100 złautokary24.pl - here is gut website with international bus connectionsOne company offers even "direct" connection Gdańsk - Wilno (12h).I've just read news that PolskiBus will be going to Vilnius since October.
Jardinero 1 | 383 20 Aug 2014 / #7That's a great site, Monitor! So if you took the 16:45 coach to Suwałki (note there's also another coach in the AM at 6:40), it gets you there 0:20, then at 1:15 you've got the connection to Vilnus (4:45).
bruceM 19 Feb 2018 / #8Need land transport for 2 from Gdansk to Vilnius on September 27, 2018. Any ideas?
