Hi-
I'm planning on attending the University of Wrocław starting in October. I'm from the United States but am of Polish heritage. My mother's grandparents came from Galicia (between Rzeszow and Lwów) and from the Eastern part of Poland. My father's family is from Europe too. I speak some Polish but not fluently. I've never been to Poland before and will be studying Chemistry and Biotechnology.
What should I expect being in Poland? Do the people there speak some English? What do people in Poland think of Eastern Europeans from the United States? I am proud of and respect the culture and heritage of my ancestors - will this be appreciated?
I also like anime and Japan. Are there fans of anime in Poland?
