Would it be better to study in Poland or Canada? What is also a useful degree to study?

I am a Canadian and a university education is around $40,000 for four years or even more if I move away from my hometown in Canada.

I am working to get dual citizenship, would it be less money to study in Poland?
I want to study Polish studies or perhaps French, is Polish studies a useful degree in Poland?
What about international relations or international and political studies is that useful?
I'm not much of a math person so these engineering jobs are out of the question for me.
Thanks

Do you speak Polish? If you want to study 'Polish-related' things then definitely Poland is the best choice. It would be cheaper too - depending if you choose private or public school (either way, it's at least 30% cheaper overall). I'm not sure how useful political studies are, but if you're bilingual then it's easier (but connection are important in Poland). I'm thinking the fact you're a native English speaker would be your best attribute.. if you add some international relations degree you should be set ; ).

I do speak Polish as well! I can read but I'm not very good at writing, I'm learning everyday though :)

It depends on your goal. It may be easier to live in Canada, but Poland and Europe is probably more interesting. You should spend at least a month in Poland to see what's it like and if you find yourself there. I think the cost of living in Canada and Poland (big city) is about the same, but a good job in Canada can pay more than in Poland. If you graduate from a good university then you should have enough opportunities both in Poland and Canada (having both citizenships you have enough flexibility; if you fail in Poland, you go back home ; ).

As a citizen of Poland you can take advantage of free education in western european countries. For example Scotland has free studies and in English. Non English speaking countries offer it too:

. For example Scotland has free studies

To avail of study in Scotland under EU rules you must prove you have been educated in Th EU for the previous 4/5 years. Moreover it is not free to study in Scotland as an EU resident you will pay 1,500 GBP per year instead of the 9,000 GBP that the English pay to study in Scotland.
